Absolutely - a significant historical event took place today, with his trial and execution being the first of their kind. [As far as I know, he was the first monarch that this happened to - I could be wrong, though].

Shakespeare's ‘Macbeth’ would be interesting to see. I heard somewhere that the witches in the play were included in an attempt to appeal to King James I/VI, considering his obsession with them...quite intrigued to know how he'd reacted to the play.
