I like to use the tough parts of veggies (and some of the veggies themselves) as a base for "cream based" soups. I just use a cheap stick blender to do it. I also keep veggie scraps in the freezer to make broth.

@jannarden My Nana was going through my Grandad's things after he passed. He had a Navy hatbox she was just going to toss. My dad made her open it. Inside (amongst other things) was a mousetrap and a bell. It was a wedding gag left to them by my great grandfather. 70 year old treasures.

@parentaction4ed I think they were/are both bad, but not comparable. While I didn't agree with Harris's politics he was at least reliable in them. Ford imo just seems sleazy and like he doesn't care what happens to the people of Ontario, being premier is just something to amuse him.

Closer at state lvl (and just the state I'm neighbours with) but their federal politics can also have a direct impact on my job and the economy of my city. I follow ours more closely, but theirs is important to metoo.

@edtastic87 @CTVNews I wonder if it will affect children being treated for precocious puberty. It's the same treatment, hormone blockers. I can promise being in grade 3, having a period and breasts is no fun. It can also lead to negative health factors later in life, also no fun.

@Notinthenfl @Steve_Dangle I paid $5.95 a week as a pt time employee, working ft hours. Sunday shifts were mandatory but classified as bonus hrs. So didn't count towards ft employment. When I left after 10 years I was making minimum wage. Some unions are good, others are terrible
