I’m horrified by the attack on the Islamic Center of San Diego. Religious centres are under attack in USA, Canada & other places that previously were safe from violent hatred. We must restore a sense of virtue & responsibility that respects people & spaces of spiritual practice.
Jews gave the world law. The Chafetz Chaim said you can't hide from trouble. 200 lawyers and @CIJAinfo Legal Task Force didn't. →https://t.co/exlJ21fEjH

4/5 The Persian students in that room are, many of them, refugees from the Islamic Republic.
The regime has spent 45 years trying to make its war against Israel a Persian civilizational commitment.
Friday night was a refusal to let that stand.
3/5 Last Friday, Jewish and Persian students shared Shabbat at Beth Tzedec.
They didn't come to make peace.
They came because they already knew whose side they were on.
2/5 The first: managed absence of hostility. Treaties. Settlements. Necessary — but not peace.

A 4 year-old taught a politician how to bake challah today. Thanks, David! It was a joy to join the students at Beth Tzedec, and their grandparents, for a challah bake together! The kids also made special cards for Jewish Family & Child Services as an act of helping others.
Hot take: The faat that we've normalized synagogue security and safety drills should terrify ys more than thh threat that makes them necessary. @BethTzedec@USCJ@RabbiAssembly https://t.co/nEWfQ2Qdok
