There are so many anti-fascists on the streets of Walthamstow that it’s impossible to get anywhere near the immigration legal centre that the far right are targeting. #NoPasaran https://t.co/02AMgNzpgD
Mundane Halloween is back!
Today is the "Mundane Halloween" contest in Japan, sponsored by website @dailyportalz
The idea is to dress up as something incredibly ordinary.
Here is a thread of some of my favorites from this year!
Thank you to our public affairs and policy staff reform their relentless research evidence and lobbying of HoL. This work has seriously paid off. So proud of the @theRCN staff and their commitment.
Recall that the government has spent months saying it can't find any money to prevent nurses and teachers getting very big pay cuts. He just found £6 billion to cut fuel duties. That's a choice.
"Reset your government… demonstrate it is on the side of the hardworking, decent taxpayer. There could be no simpler way…than by bringing the nurse strike to a swift close”.
@patcullen9 makes direct appeal to the Prime Minister for decisive action on pay.

@RoseStokes@matt_badenoch is the best! My partner hates getting his photo taken but Matt was such a pro and got amazing shots. My partner actually enjoyed getting our photos taken which is a miracle
@wesinjapan Depending on where you are (availability etc), def shop around GPs, a good GP/GPs office is worth their weight in gold so ask around neighbours/locals if you can. There’s usually neighbourhood whatsapp/Facebook groups that are good sources of info
Fiancé visa came through and we're figuring out how to ship his stuff to the UK. Apparently, we don't have to pay tax on his 'trousseaux' (thats still a thing?!) - he is insisting his giant box of video game consoles and games are equivalent 🤔 Not sure if @HMRCgovuk will agree
Now onto climate change and the silvertown tunnel. The Extinction Rebellion person who asked the questions probably put it best: It’s shocking that, even at a small local hustings, only two questions got asked about the Climate Emergency and our local environment
Housing, homelessness and rampant development the next with all the candidates condemning lack of affordable housing and a lot of condemnation of private developers. Considering we’re in Greenwich and Woolwich, not hugely surprising
