@MrsCgeography@MsGHist I was thinking the same. Maybe even explaining standard scores and the bell curve distribution so that it can be put in context and there’s a visual to hang it on too.

@JameswSwann@Suchmo83 @Kieran_M_Ed @Mr_AlmondED Dyslexic students have strengths too so use these as well as supporting the weaknesses. Metacognition and finding out what works for them helps develop independence and compensating strategies. Show them how to work smarter not harder but that will be different for each one.Enjoy
Win a pack of 14 dyslexia-friendly Barrington Stoke books!

@letclothesbe Not expressly written but know that there are frequent purges on girls ankles being visible - obviously still in the Victorian age - wonder if there are skirts on the piano legs??
@SmallSchool_KS2 Not sure about SATs (I teach in secondary in Wales) but a student could access a computer reader - software or reading pen - for GCSE English including the reading, so wonder if that could be the same. Not a panacea + takes some practice but could become a normal way of working.
@mini_lebowski I’d also look at access arrangements are some of the students entitled to extra time/use of WP/use of computer reader/rest breaks and work with the students to understand how to use those effectively. Not every student will be entitled but can make a big difference for some
