@ProfessorStacie Early intervention is important so the students can have the support they need instead of struggling in school and to feel like someone cares. I learned that assistive technology has improved greatly for students with low incidence disabilities. #ExcepChild111

@audreetayylor @ProfessorStacie It is very important to always feel loved, important and included. If these programs weren't offered to both students and adults, it could be assumed they weren't important enough to be included.

@ProfessorStacie It's important to provide these programs to adults too so they feel supported throughout life and not just while in school. Students can feel safer also knowing that these programs will be offered once they graduate as well. #ExcepChild111

@ProfessorStacie Classrooms with too much furniture, stuff and bright colors could cause a sensory overload and distraction. Being flexible is key. Organizing desks in a way where students are able to help each other seems beneficial to me as well versus separating desks. #ExcepChild111

@tashafreytag @ProfessorStacie Great point about the policies helping students in situations where they are maybe being treated poorly. If you don't know the policy, you may not be as effective in aiding in a solution.

@ProfessorStacie Knowing the laws set by the courts and government is important to protect the students and yourself. Working with the schools to ensure we are providing all children access to equal and appropriate education is vital. #ExcepChild111
