Following the Commission's vote today, the SEC and Ripple formally filed directly with the Second Circuit to dismiss their appeals.
The end…and now back to business.
@ameliadimz my kids are playing this non stop at the moment, and all I am thinking about is you 😅

🚨NEW: After speaking with three legal sources and tuning into @JohnEDeaton1’s live analysis, my read is that Judge Torres is playing hardball here—she’s not making it easy for the parties to simply walk away; instead, she’ll make them work for it.
Deaton raises a valid point: from Torres’s perspective, the @SECGov has spent the past five years doubling down on a narrative and legal strategy that resulted in thousands of hours of legal and judicial manpower, only for the agency to suggest that those five years were essentially a waste.
While Torres has denied their initial request, she’s outlined a clear path forward—provided the SEC and Ripple can meet the legal standards and present a compelling case that withdrawing her ruling is in the best interest of the public and institutional buyers of $XRP.
@s_alderoty mentioned Ripple will work with the @SECGov to revisit the issue together—pretty wild considering they’ve been on opposite sides for nearly five years. It’ll be even more interesting to see if Torres eases up once they’ve done the necessary work, or if she sticks to her guns and makes this more of a ‘political’ fight.
This post got a lot of attention, so I want to share a few more details and thoughts. In the beginning of the year, we sat down with the @AnodosFinance team and we had to choose our next steps and strategy we want to follow. The path has been clear to me since day 1, empower every single person to be their own bank and make millions of people use the powerful technology called XRPL, without them realizing it. We still believe this is the way mass adoption comes and what the XRPL needs: a killer financial app without the crypto/blockchain intricacies.
Our vision revolves around making blockchain invisible and building financial solutions every person and business can use. It has been a long shot since day 1, and I still can't believe I'm sitting here and making that dream a reality step by step. We still have a long way to go, but with your support we can do it. We are building for you, we are listening to you. I (as many others) have dreamt and begged other developers/projects for years to build something like this.
The tech is there, we have XRPL, we have Ripple's solutions, we have Interledger Protocol, and others... and it still baffles me how Ripple never thought of doing this or at least fund a project to do this. Build a super financial app combining all these amazing technologies and enable the Internet of Value for all. Anodos was created because nobody else was willing to do what it takes to build the solutions that people really want. Yes, it's hard, yes it takes a massive amount of money (and yes we are raising capital at the moment - DM if interested 😂), a great team, time, and more... but we are willing to do what it takes. All we need is your support and feedback. Let's ride and keep building together! 🔼
The final crossing of t’s and dotting of i’s – and what should be my last update on SEC v Ripple ever…
Last week, the SEC agreed to drop its appeal without conditions. @Ripple has now agreed to drop its cross-appeal. The SEC will keep $50M of the $125M fine (already in an interest-bearing escrow in cash), with the balance returned to Ripple. The agency will also ask the Court to lift the standard injunction that was imposed earlier at the SEC’s request. All subject to Commission vote, drafting of final documents and usual court processes.
That’s all folks!
This is it – the moment we’ve been waiting for. The SEC will drop its appeal – a resounding victory for Ripple, for crypto, every way you look at it.
The future is bright. Let's build.
@SugarXRPL Wow..... new here? If there's anyone who's ALWAYS spot on with "rumors/innuendo" it's @EleanorTerrett . Most trustworthy news source in crypto. Hands down.
🧠 Clawbacks on the #XRPL, a thread.
There are two XRPL amendments, XLS-39 & XLS-73, that enable issuers to reclaim issued tokens under specific conditions. These changes improve regulatory compliance but do not apply to #XRP itself. Let’s break it down.
