Predicting health is a crapshoot, but what do you like? What do you dislike? Who should be in the top-12?
Aqui, esqueça a idade.
5️⃣ FICARIA MELHOR GANHANDO MENOS!
Bulls do velho testamento.
I feel as though I compile a simple list like this every season, so here we go again.
If you are thinking about punting this season, a key aspect is finding players who aren't bound by what might be considered 'normal positional stats'. Simply put, guards who don't rely on guard stats and bigs who don't rely on big stats.
Bigs
Myles Turner, Jaren Jackson, Pascal Siakam, Julius Randle, Bam Adebayo, Naz Reid, Jabari Smith, Brook Lopez
Guards
Amen Thompson, Dyson Daniels, Ausar Thompson, Cason Wallace, Josh Hart, Tari Eason, Brandin Podziemski
WNBA’s BEST BET🏀
Jordin Canada O 19.5 PA
(-117 DK)
8/20 Prop #1
Sparks look fully healthy to compete tonight. They’re out of the playoffs, relatively speaking, but I’m sure they’ll like to compete because of Nneka’s announcement being that this is her last season.
Canada is in really good position to thrive in slashing and playmaking.
This B3 defense struggles defending slashing guards.
They are allowing the 3rd most PITP and 3rd highest drive finish rate.
The Sparks are also abysmal in transition where Canada can get a ton of comfortable buckets.
Against B6 defenses allowing the most PA to PGs, Canada is over this line in 7/9 games averaging 20.8 PA.
H2H vs LAS:
16 pts 9 asts 35 mins 5/12 FG 16 pot

Jordan Canada is in a strong spot to clear this number against a Sparks defense that gives her favorable paths both as a scorer and facilitator.
Los Angeles is the worst defense in PA allowed to guards and 3rd-worst in defensive rating. They allow the 2nd-most assists to opponents while playing at the 3rd-fastest pace.
Canada has taken advantage of similar matchups all season. With 28+ minutes against bottom-five defenses, she has gone over in 8 of 10 games while averaging 22.7 PA. Against teams in the bottom five in PA allowed to guards, she has gone over in 7 of 10 while averaging 21.4 PA.
The scoring matchup lines up extremely well with where Canada gets her offense. She takes 46% of her shots at the rim, while Los Angeles ranks 14th defending the restricted area. Another 26% come from above-the-break three, where the Sparks rank 12th.
Her main scoring play types also line up well:
📈 Transition: 24% of her points | LA ranks 14th
📈 Free Throws: 21% | LA ranks 9th
📈 Spot Up: 20% | LA ranks 10th
📈 PnR Ball Handler: 18% | LA ranks 13th
The assist side gives Canada another strong path to the over. She is averaging 17 potential assists per game over her last 12, consistently creating looks for Angel Reese in the paint and Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray on the wings. The Sparks’ fast pace should also give Atlanta more possessions for Canada to create.
Recent guards have produced against Los Angeles:
✅ Olivia Miles: 28 PA
✅ Natasha Cloud: 24 PA
✅ Carla Leite: 29 PA
✅ Sabrina Ionescu: 33 PA
✅ Monique Akoa Makani: 16 PA
Canada already cleared this line in her first matchup against Los Angeles on July 13, finishing with 16 points and 9 assists (16 potentials) for 25 PA in 35 minutes.
With favorable scoring areas and plenty of opportunities to create for Atlanta’s other scorers, we like Canada to clear 19.5 PA again here vs the Sparks.

My WNBA POTD for Thursday☢️
Jordin Canada 11.5 RA "O" -130 FD
Drop a ❤️⬇️for the 2nd writeup!
this spot is free... the sparks allow the 4th most RA to the G position this season and overall allowing the 2nd most assists and 3rd most reb to the G position.
this season when Canada is facing a bottom 5 DVP she is over this line in 83% of games clearing this line in 10/12 games averaging 13.9 RA
Canada has played the sparks only once this season about 5 weeks ago and dropped 12 RA with 9 assists and 3 rebounds
the spread on this game is 8.5 which was the same as their last facing where Canada still docked 35 mins slightly going over her average of 32 mins in her L10 games
this is a great spot for assists due to the fact that the sparks allow the 3rd most catch and shoot points where in their last facing Canada generated 4 assists off of, the sparks also allow the 3rd most cutting points paired with a weak paint allowing the most points under the net in the sparks last 5 games another spot where Canada generated 5 of her other assists from in their last meeting.
some honorable mentions that have also went over their RA vs the sparks include
Lacan 10 / 7.5
Leger-Walker 14 / 7.5
McMahon 11 / 5.5
Citron 14 / 7.5
Miles 13 / 10.5
Ionescu 13 / 9.5
Allemand 20 / 7.5
