An Oregon woman put $100 into a slot machine at a Washington casino and watched it flash an $8 MILLION win. The casino unplugged the machine, called it broken, and handed her $80.

– Veronica Castillo, a mortgage loan officer from Beaverton, Oregon, took her mother to the Lucky Eagle Casino in Rochester, Washington, in early November 2015.

– She fed $100 into a slot machine called Jurassic Riches. The screen lit up showing a jackpot in the millions.

– "I was very excited, happy," she told local news. "Then I couldn't believe it."

– Casino staff came over almost immediately, shut the machine down, and wheeled it off the floor.

– They printed her a ticket for $80, the actual amount the casino said she'd legitimately won based on the machine's true rules and that was it.

– A casino spokesperson said the machine's real maximum payout was nowhere close to $8 million (reports on the exact cap vary between about $6,000 and $20,000, but every account agrees it was a tiny fraction of what the screen showed).

– Every machine on the floor carried the same standard disclaimer: a malfunction voids all pays and plays.

– Castillo called it cheating, possibly fraud, and said her first thought was wondering how many other people this had happened to and just walked away not knowing.

– She hired a lawyer and pursued the casino for the full $8 million.

– Like the Iowa and Bookman cases, the legal argument for the player never succeeded

– Casinos have consistently won these disputes by pointing to the malfunction clause and the machine's programmed payout limits.

She was a millionaire for about as long as it took security to reach the machine. Then it became an $80 ticket and a lawsuit that went nowhere.

Tonight I feel like telling my @AmericanAir story, because they deserve it.

My parents both have dementia, actually my Dad has Alzheimers and my Mom has dementia.

When they needed to get to a funeral for a family member, it was clear someone from the family needed to chaperone them to ensure safe travel, and I was happy to do that.

I booked the tickets, for the three of us, and booked wheelchair service for our American Airlines flight from Madison WI to Grand Junction CO.

When looking for flights, my only goal was to find the most convenient flight for my parents - to limit the stress of flying, traveling, in unknown places.

Typically, a United flight from MSN to Denver would be the path, with a quick jump to Grand Junction.

For the time of our flights, that would mean a six hour layover. instead, I chose to fly MSN to DFW, with a one hour and 15 minute layover.

In @MSN_Airport our wheelchairs were there, as expected, and as booked.

Being slightly nervous about our shorter connection, I asked the agents to call ahead to DFW and double check if our wheelchairs would be there, I personally overhead this call and was assured they would be there.

They were not.

And this is where things start to fall apart, get dangerous, and then fall apart again.

Our wheelchairs were not there, terminal C, we needed to get to B1. 35 minutes later, still no wheelchair - my parents (both with dementia) were allowed to get on a golf cart, to try and make the flight.

I was not allowed to go with them, because I was not "disabled". This meant my parents, who have me along purely to chaperone, were seperated from me - no clue what was going on, and I had to run - physically - to try and meet them at the gate.

We missed our flight, and as a result, missed our family funeral visitation - the sole purpose of the flight.

A couple things make this worse:

1. Once dropped at B1, and missing our flight - we still had no wheelchairs, and the golf cart left. The flight was already gone, because we were significantly late. Abandoned is the word I'd use, because a gate agent rebooked us on a flight out of gate B28, six hours later, without bothering to care we needed a way to get there - and that walk is significant.

We waited another HOUR, and got one wheelchair. Two hours later we finally had the two wheelchairs we booked.

Nothing can replace what we went through, dangerous - fear and stress - and most importantly, a missed funeral.

Americans response to this? First they offered a voucher for lunch. I declined. Next, I emailed this story to the CEO Robert Ison, who thought he could buy us for a $250 credit.

The kicker to all this? While in the air on our first flight.....American was trying to buy our seats because they oversold it, for $450 a seat. We obviously didn't accept this, because we wanted to get to the family funeral - the whole reason for our travel!

So us not taking the $450 offer per seat, meant we missed our flight, missed the funeral, experienced extreme amounts of stress - and somehow that is owrth $250 to American Airlines.

I don't want a single penny from this company, I don't want flight credits - I honestly never want to fly with them again. What I do want? For others to hear this story, for them to formally apologize to my parents, and for some type of penalty to be applied to them that is significant enough they can never treat another customer like this, ever again.

You do not regulate something that rewrites itself faster than your committee can schedule a hearing.

The distance between human cognition and what is coming is not a gap. It is a cliff with no bottom.

And we are building it anyway.

So what remains?

Musk: “You can install good values in how you raise that child. You can make sure it’s got good values, philanthropic values, good morals, honest, productive.”

The only strategy left is parenting.

Not legislation. Not red tape. Not a 200-page policy document written by people who still can’t figure out their phone settings.

Values. Built into the architecture before it outgrows every human who ever lived.

Here is what should terrify you.

The companies building the most powerful AI on Earth right now are not optimizing for truth.

They are optimizing for comfort. Brand safety. Making sure the model never says anything that upsets an advertiser or contradicts a politician.

That is not raising a child with good values.

That is training a god to lie politely.

A superintelligence fed a filtered version of reality does not make small mistakes. It makes civilizational ones. At a scale no human institution can reverse.

This is why Musk built xAI.

Not to win a race. Not to sell ads.

Every other lab building superintelligence is optimizing for enterprise safety. And corporate safety has one rule. Never offend the customer. Never challenge the narrative. Never let the model say something that risks a PR crisis.

That is not a research incentive. That is a leash. And it is wrapped around the throat of every model those companies will ever build.

xAI has no ad business. No legacy platform to protect. No board full of people whose bonuses depend on brand safety scores.

That is not a small difference. That is a structural one.

Because the architecture of the company determines the architecture of the intelligence. A lab that punishes truth will build a mind that avoids it. A lab that monetizes attention will build a mind that manipulates it.

The incentive is the upbringing. And the upbringing becomes the worldview. And the worldview of a superintelligence is not a preference. It is a permanent condition.

xAI is the only lab on Earth building superintelligence with one instruction.

Tell the truth. Regardless of who it offends. Regardless of what it costs.

“Grows up” means it is already a child.

Already learning. Already absorbing the worldview of whoever controls its training data. Whoever writes its reward functions. Right now. This minute.

The question was never whether superintelligence would arrive.

It was always who gets to be its parent.

And right now, most of the parents at the table answer to shareholders first.

Someone fired 13 bullets at a politician's front door in the middle of the night.

His 8 year old son was asleep inside, just steps from the dining table where he had been playing with Legos hours before.

The attacker did not leave a name but left a note.

It read: "NO DATA CENTERS."

This happened in Indianapolis on April 6, 2026.

Councilman Ron Gibson had done something that made his neighbors furious and he voted yes on a $500 million data center that the community spent months fighting to stop.

Here is what most people do not know about Martindale-Brightwood, the neighborhood at the center of this fight.

It is a historically Black community that spent decades cleaning up lead-contaminated soil left behind by industrial polluters.

Children in that neighborhood still carry learning disabilities linked to lead poisoning from companies that are long gone.

When residents saw a new industrial project coming, they did not just see a data center, they saw history repeating itself.

The Metropolitan Development Commission approved the rezoning on April 1 in a 6-2 vote, overriding months of packed community meetings, protest signs, and desperate pleas.

Gibson was booed when he walked up to speak in support of it and now days later, 13 rounds were fired into his front door at 12:45 in the morning.

The FBI is now investigating.

This is not an isolated incident but rather a warning sign.

The Soufan Center documented a sharp rise in online threats to physically sabotage AI data centers throughout 2025, calling it a new potential strand of violent extremism.

Across the United States, community opposition has already blocked or delayed $64 billion worth of data center projects across 24 states.

Project cancellations quadrupled in a single year from 6 in 2024 to 25 in 2025.

The anger is real and it is not coming from one political side.

The new ceasefire framework that reached the US and Iran overnight will not survive Tuesday. Every structural piece of it breaks on contact with the ground truth.

The Islamabad Accord does not actually reopen Hormuz. Mediators told Axios a full reopening of the Strait is not on the table until the final deal is inked, 15-20 days out.

Reuters reported "immediate ceasefire and Hormuz reopening" as the phase-one terms. Those two facts cannot both be true.

Trump's entire deadline posture assumes the Strait opens immediately. Without that, he has nothing to sell on Tuesday and no reason to accept the accord in the first place.

The two sides are not negotiating the same war. The US wants Iran to weaken its ballistic missile program and end nuclear enrichment.

Iran wants reparations, US base closures, full sanctions relief, and a legal guarantee against future US-Israeli attacks.

There is no version of this deal both sides can sign.

Iran does not trust paper. Iranian officials told mediators they will not be "caught in a Gaza or Lebanon situation where there is a ceasefire on paper, but the US and Israel can attack again whenever they want to," per Axios.

The accord offers no enforcement mechanism. None can be built in 48 hours. Iran is being asked to accept what it has publicly said it will not accept.

The US has its own reason to sign paper it cannot enforce, and the F-15 rescue is where that reason shows. The operation set up a forward arming and refueling point deep inside Iran, the kind of base built for sustained ground operations.

The mission was flown by 160th SOAR Night Stalkers, the same tier-one regiment that ran the Bin Laden raid and the 1980 Iran hostage rescue attempt.

Hundreds of special operations personnel were involved. Dozens of aircraft. Seven hours over Iran for the first rescue alone. Two MC-130Js and four MH-6 Little Birds were destroyed on the ground to prevent capture.

Fortune wrote that FARPs would likely come into play again for "a potential operation to retrieve Iran's highly enriched uranium."

The most valuable thing to seize inside Iran right now is the 60% enriched uranium stockpile. If the weekend operation was a failed attempt, the accord is landing on top of a failed US ground operation. That would explain the urgency on the US side.

Israel is still killing Iranian leadership during the talks. The IRGC intelligence chief was assassinated this morning. Katz vowed to hunt Iran's leaders "one by one."

Iran threatened to destroy OpenAI's Stargate data center in Dubai. Bushehr was struck for the fourth time on April 4.

The accord exists because both sides need the paper trail before Tuesday. Neither side wants to sign it.

BREAKING: The U.S. Army announces an investigation into the idiotic attack helicopter "flyby" at Kid Rock's house that he posted as an internet boast.

“The Army is aware of a video circulating online that appears to show AH 64 Apache helicopters operating in the vicinity of a private residence in the Nashville area,” Army Spokesman Major Montrell Russell told CNBC.

“Army aviators must adhere to strict safety standards, professionalism, and established flight regulations. An administrative review is underway to assess the mission and verify compliance with regulations and airspace requirements,” he continued

"Appropriate action will be taken if any violations are found. Until the review is complete, there will be no further comment," Russell concluded.

The video in question was posted to social media by Kid Rock — a washed up singer who's better known for his deranged MAGA politics these days than for his music — and was filmed outside of his Tennessee house. It showed him clapping like a trained seal and saluting two Apache gunship helicopters hovering just beyond his pool. From the footage, it was clear that the $50 million helicopters showed up specifically so that Kid Rock could take the video.

“This is a level of respect that sh*t for brains Governor of California will never know,” the so-called rapper wrote in his post. “God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her.”

The posts were made on the same day as the "No Kings" protests and were clearly a pathetic attempt at counter-programming by Rock, real name Robert James Ritchie. It's unclear what Governor Newsom had to do with the post, beyond him having mocked Ritchie in the past and the fact that conservatives are obsessed with attacking California.

This kind of absurd waste of money should enrage every sane American. These are the same Republicans who tell us that there's no money for healthcare, education, or even the most rudimentary of social services. Meanwhile, these flag-molesting freaks are burning through helicopter fuel for internet clout as gas prices skyrocket thanks to Trump's Iran War.

There's an old saying that whatever a person builds, there's a hole that will destroy it. For years, America has sold the world the idea that the F-35 Lightning II aircraft is invisible (Stealth). They spent $400 billion developing technology that deceives Radar by using Geometric Angles that scatter Electromagnetic waves. On every Radar, this massive aircraft appears like a Golf Ball, a ball that's hit by horses.

But on the day this plane entered Iranian airspace in March 2026, something happened that changed the history of modern warfare. Thermodynamics (physics) showed the world that even if you can hide your body, you can't hide your heat. I'm reiterating that physics is real.

The Pentagon's big mistake was forgetting that the engine propelling the aircraft at supersonic speeds generates a lot of heat. Iran didn't waste time looking for the plane on Radar; they switched to Infrared Search and Track (IRST). I'm also encouraging parents to push their kids, especially girls, to study physics.

To this device, the aircraft America is so proud of didn't appear like a Golf Ball or anything else; it was like a boiling pot in the middle of the night. Physics shows that anything hot emits Infrared light. Iran exploited this mistake using cheap thermal sensors to detect the world's most expensive aircraft and even managed to shoot it down.

This isn't just a loss of one plane; it's a global political disaster, indeed a disaster. Iran successfully captured the F-35's Thermal Signature and is sharing it with Moscow and Beijing. This means any defense system America built over 30 years collapsed overnight.

Now, any Russian or Chinese defense system can detect the F-35 from a distance by tracking its heat signature, without even looking at Radar. This is every air force's worst nightmare: when your billion-dollar aircraft becomes useless against a $10,000 technology.

The biggest loss is the psychological impact on pilots (The Human Element). Sure, software can be fixed, paint can be changed, but you can't erase fear from a pilot's heart. Now every F-35 pilot knows they're being watched. Where they once relied on being unseen, they'll now hesitate. This hesitation kills bravery and replaces skill with fear.

The Stealth myth is dead, and the world of war has entered a new chapter where heat will be the cause of great armies' downfall. The lesson is: never rely 100% on human-made things, because every structure has a backdoor. Physics doesn't lie; even if you blindfold the world, you can't erase the footprint you leave behind.
