@levelsio Ok they have good tech but Chinese cities are usually super boring, even Shanghai, 3 days are enough. And living there as a Chinese is not fun at all, social pressure, low salary etc…
@levelsio@robj3d3 Imo salaries are way higher than in a third-tier Chinese city and one folk out of 13 is a millionaire. The cantonese culture is alive and well, hasn’t been wiped out by this national security vibe. Last, you can easily open a bank account/incorporate a company in a matter of days
Have you ever wondered what the standard trilingual announcement for closing MTR doors in Hong Kong is?
📣 Cantonese
請勿靠近車門
cing^{1} mat^{6} gaau^{3} gan^{6} ce^{1} mun^{4}
📣 Mandarin
請不要靠近車門
qǐng bù yào kào jìn chē mén
📣English
Please stand back from the doors
It is followed by a series of fast beeps as the doors close. 🚇
