We will be teaching Agentic GPU Programming for MLSys as part of the CMU ML Systems course this upcoming spring at @SCSatCMU, touching on knowledge curation, compiler analysis, and feedback loops. We also curated an online book on the topic, check it out https://t.co/S3TmfiAJ7h
Students sometimes ask me if it still makes sense, in this accelerating age, to pursue a PhD in AI.
Perhaps counterintuitively, I think it's a great time to do so.
I wrote up some thoughts on this here: https://t.co/RRqGR0qi1R
new course just dropped: CS 312: Deep Learning Alchemy w/ @stanfordnlp !
A very interesting new class concept from @tatsu_hashimoto :
- Assignments are worth 0% of the grade
- 85% of your course grade is 40-minute quizzes where you get a code diff for an experiment you've never run and ask you to predict validation loss differences
- The premise? that prediction == understanding. If we don't have any intuition as to the outcomes of an experiment, then it's often safe to say we don't understand it (or at least, it means we don't have beyond surface level knowledge).
And also, everything is public (in the style of cs336!)
(Answer to the question below in, and links 🧵)
This Fall at CMU we're teaching a new course on AI Agents!
The goal is that you learn how to create a scaffold, build evals, and train an agentic LLM using RL.
We'll try to balance theory and practice, and introduce modern frameworks and best practices.
All 23 lectures for my CMU Advanced NLP course are now on YouTube. The slides and 20 code examples are also publicly available.
- YouTube: https://t.co/PV5FMA47La
- Course Page (Slides, Schedule): https://t.co/2C7JNAC9eY
- Code: https://t.co/mz6i7tcoMh
The lectures are grouped into 7 themes: fundamentals, architectures, learning & inference, modeling, evaluation, RL & agents, and scaling & efficiency.
Check them out if you’re looking for an introduction or refresher on the fundamentals of LLMs, key ideas from recent NLP research, or are just curious to learn more.
@seldomsensible @kig_ha@Mileistesfr From start to the end, you never provide any valid reason to argue against the validity of CO2 emission per capita but keep emphasizing total emissions like a recorder and with a lot of irrelevant info and personal attack.
🤣I am gonna blacklist you to stop wasting my time.
@seldomsensible @kig_ha@Mileistesfr 🤡Climate change is contributed by everyone in the world. You should not have the privilege to justify your wasting behavior by hiding in a country with a smaller population and condemning countries with large population for the total emissions.
