With tau PET we found ⬆️ amyloid, APOE ε4, and ⬇️ education were linked to earlier tau pathology onset (T+). We also saw a median of ~7.5 years from T+ to dementia, and shorter times for people older at T+.
Congrats to @margoheston on publication of her manuscript in Alzheimer's & Dementia on understanding what contributes to when tau pathology becomes detectable by PET, and the time from T+ to dementia onset. https://t.co/8kJYRUkCBe

What a plenary!
Congratulations @EmmaCoomans for such a great presentation at #AIC today, summarising the main neuroimaging papers of the year.
Very exciting way to start #AAIC2025 🇨🇦
We started #AIC25 off with a great plenary by @EmmaCoomans giving the yearly "Year in Review"! Such an informative and comprehensive talk, giving a great overview of all the important neuroimaging work of the last year. See the last image for a QR code to download slides! 👏👏
If you are attending AIC, are an ECR, and would like the opportunity to ask all your career-related questions, sign up to have lunch with some great mentors!
Also consider our Neuroimaging-Buddy system for AAIC/AIC if you would like to network with other ECRs!
