A moment to pause and reflect!
It's so easy for many organisations to be caught up in activities instead of reflections and restrategizing.
Yesterday, with support from Global Fund for Children, we assessed our capacity and identified key areas to strengthen.

The Food Festival in celebration of World Food Day was a vibrant success! Lively discussions and inspiring presentations brought people together around powerful themes - food as a right, food safety, governance and food access, and food as a matter of justice.
We’re grateful to everyone who joined the conversations, shared experiences, and celebrated the spirit of good food and fairness in our food systems.
Looking forward to future festivals and keeping the dialogue alive for a Kenya where everyone enjoys the right to safe, nutritious, and culturally meaningful food. 🇰🇪🌍

How we feed people in our public institutions reveals how much we value them. From primary and secondary schools to hospitals and the disciplined forces — every meal served should affirm dignity, equality, and respect.
Nutritious, culturally grounded meals are a statement of justice — a declaration that every Kenyan, regardless of status or station, deserves food that nourishes both body and dignity.
Institutional feeding must be intentional — guided by care and fairness, not convenience or class. To feed people well is to govern with conscience; it is to honour the smallholder farmer who toils to grow our food, yet struggles to find a market. Feeding, when done right, is justice made visible. 🍲🇰🇪

One of our most exciting achievements this year has been inspiring students at KMTC Thika Campus to establish the Comrades for Food Justice Club — a space where young minds explore the intersections of food, health, and justice.
The club will host its first-ever Food Justice Dialogue on 17th October to celebrate World Food Day 2025, bringing together about 300 students.
We’re thrilled to begin a mentorship journey with these future healthcare professionals who will transform the healthcare space and champion food justice.

Today we paid a courtesy call to our close allies, @BeulaGroup.
Our conversation centered on deepening collaboration in areas where our work connects particularly in food systems, climate action and empowerment. Beulla Group has consistently placed young people at the heart of their mission since their establishment, empowering youth and creating opportunities. They also run an impactful waste recycling program that benefits both the community and the environment.
We shared our nutrition education materials and agreed to continue working together on community-based projects. We truly value this strong partnership and look forward to what we can achieve together.

We are honored to take part in today’s validation meeting convened by Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC).
The session focuses on the landmark study “Taxing Land and Wealth in Kenya,” which explores the intersection of land justice, tax justice, and inequality. These interconnected issues shape how resources are distributed and who benefits from development. Addressing them is essential to creating a society where wealth contributes fairly to shared prosperity.
We look forward to sharing insights and collaborating with partners committed to making fiscal justice a cornerstone of an equitable and just Kenya.

Strong Organizations Build Stronger Communities
We had 3 days, Not just of learning but of awakening.
Too many youth-led organizations struggle in silence not for lack of passion but for lack of enough access to information and systems that sustain their impact.

Our community committee charted the sustainability path for the PEIS Project—covering food systems, climate change & health.
