Adult cannabis users show NO brain deficits!

No real differences between users and non-users:

They performed about the same on the self-control and attention tests.

Their brain activity patterns looked very similar during the tasks.

Even when looking deeper (e.g., does heavier use link to worse performance or different brain signals?), nothing significant showed up after accounting for other factors.

Conclusions:

In these regular cannabis users, there was no sign of:Weaker self-control/impulse control.Extra attention pulled toward cannabis cues. Altered function in the front parts of the brain that handle control and decisions.This suggests cannabis use may not cause noticeable problems in these brain functions or behaviors.
