@Mantis_Mania@PixelBushYT If he actually did that it would be a huge blunder. Maybe itll end up like a Childs Play situation where Don Mancini owns the right to all the sequels but Universal kept the original film. Even if a contract like that exists I doubt the court would make him surrender all his work
@Mantis_Mania@PixelBushYT ...yeah that one is complete bs. Leone conceptualized Art the clown as far back as 2006 long before that studio was involved. You can also claim that they purposely delayed filing that lawsuit until the franchise became more popular. Theyre just trying to get a big payday

heres where I was reading from, seems like there is still a lot up in the air about this, but im sure the courts will be able to sort everything out
regardless I think the mistreatment allegations are more concerning
@Mantis_Mania@PixelBushYT Yeah thats where the two year part comes in though, she would only receive profits for a period of two years after her 2015 contract, so she wouldnt have seen the profits from when the franchise blew up
@brown_brye81302@PixelBushYT MCote did a post stream interview with slasher radio where he talked more about the reveals, and he seemed to tease that Art’s power will be exactly like that
@Mantis_Mania@PixelBushYT the contract stuff i was talking about that she signed was more about the profits from the movies. i think that part of the lawsuit doesn’t really hold up since she was only entitled to royalties from the franchise for a 2 year period
@Mantis_Mania@PixelBushYT if that’s the case then yes she deserves compensation, but it is hearsay at this point till the courts examine it further. low budget movies tend to have situations like that happen a lot unfortunately, so if she really was exploited i hope the creators make things right
@Worthless_tree@PixelBushYT i’m truly curious where you get this idea that terrifier has a weird fascination with women? Honestly the most visceral scene i remember from the last movie was with a man. Plus the series has one of the most likable female protagonists with Sienna Shaw
@mills44444@BnorkNork@PixelBushYT you could use the exact same misogynistic arguments on friday the 13th and it’s over the top and unnecessary nudity. horror has always pushed the boundaries of what can be seen on screen, and terrifier’s whole thing is making you uncomfortable with the extreme nature of the kills
