Sambhav Jain, a software engineer from Gurugram, has come into focus after his death in Noida, with details emerging about a difficult personal and financial phase following his divorce. Jain worked as a software engineer with an IT company and had married in 2023.

The couple later had a son and incurred substantial expenditure on the child's medical treatment.

The marriage ended in divorce in 2025. Jain was required to pay Rs 3 crore to his former wife as part of the settlement. He had already paid Rs 1 crore, while another Rs 1-crore instalment had become due.

Under tremendous financial pressure, he sent a message to his father stating that he was no more able to cope with his debts.
