Yes indeed because Sugata and Buddha are synonyms also for the similar reason this not merely attribute as contextually even Shakra (Indra) ; Vasudeva (Krishna) etc is also mentioned.

Infact there is literally no proof of Brahmins interpolating given he was called deluder of asuras away from veda
