Birmingham Airport (BHX) has unveiled its draft Master Plan ✈️

Over the next 15 years, the proposed £2bn investment could see BHX grow to serve c30 million passengers annually, generating £7.2bn GVA for the regional economy and supporting more than 50,000 jobs.

The draft Master Plan is now open for public consultation, giving local communities, businesses and stakeholders the opportunity to help shape the future of Birmingham Airport.

Replacement buses are operating between the airport and the station from Bus Stop D at the airport.

@easyJet has announced two new routes on sale for next summer from Birmingham Airport, to Milan in Italy and Tivat in Montenegro. 🧡✈️

Flights to Milan Malpensa will start on 29 March 2027 ahead of the peak summer season, with departures twice a week on Mondays and Fridays.

easyJet has also announced a brand new route from Birmingham to Montenegro, with flights launching to Tivat route from 3 May 2027, departing on Mondays and Thursdays.

Birmingham Airport (BHX) colleagues took to the Birmingham canals for a Dragon Boat Race in support of Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity, the airport’s nominated charity. 🎈❤️

This year, the BHX team finished in 3rd place and contributed to a fundraising total of £308,485 raised by all participating teams.

The money raised will help fund equipment, research, facilities and wellbeing support at the hospital, which provides specialist care to around 100,000 children every year.

August was another record-breaking month for BHX, with 1,575,318 passengers travelling through the terminal, a 3.7% increase on August 2025.
