Another really amazing time period with a wild mix of stuff is the Spanish Empire in the 16th century

You could plausibly have Conquistadors, Pirates, Samurai, Aztecs, Knights, Chinese forces, Native Americans, Filipinos, Incas etc all in the same place

Case in point: This box was made in a specific style common in Germany at the time, produced in the Philippines, has features such as the monsterous feet and drawer-pulls that suggest Chinese influences or a Chinese craftsman made it, and it features the founding myth of the Aztec capital of Tenochtitlan on the front inlay

It's actually got pretty authentic Aztec clothing (the tilmatli cloak and huipil blouse even have correct geometric designs) and regalia on the man and woman alongside it. and the cactus with the eagle on it is even emerging from a properly rendered stone/tetl glyph

It's very possible this was made for a Aztec officer stationed in the Philippines, we know the Spanish sent some Indigenous soldiers there such as from Tlaxcala!

There's also of course the famous incident where Chimalpahin, An Aztec (arguably) annalist, recorded an incident where a bunch of visiting Samurai getting into fights with Conquistadors (or maybe the Conquistadors started it, I forget which) in Mexico
