Er helt enig her.
@OUH: Har igangsat ernæringsprojekt

4/4 Other studies investigating the reconfiguration in Denmark have shown a general decrease in hospital LOS and mortality. Maybe the increased activity and speed of diagnostic images have contributed to the decline in LOS and mortality?
1/4: In a new study in @BMJ_Open we hypothesize that easier access to radiological equipment has enhanced the utilization of diagnostic imaging and decreased the time from contact to the performance.

3/4 We found: 3 times the chance of CT- or/and MRI, and 2 times the chance for a ultrasound. No chance of receiving x-ray. Despite the increased activity, a larger proportion was performed within the first 4 hours
So in conclusion: a small, but significant ,increase in mortality risk, even after adjusting for acute and chronic morbidity. Encouragingly, our data show that older patients and those with high morbidity still sought care during the pandemic
During COVID-19 were a general reduction of unplanned hospital contacts worldwide. In a new
@AcuteMedJournal study, we examine changes in disease severity and mortality rates for patients diagnosed with pneumonia during such visits. #COVIDresearch#hospitalcontacts#pneumonia
Further, We also found that those admitted were generally older and had more co-morbidity. Though the ICU admission rates remained constant, mortality and length of stay were a little higher. #pneumonia
The Danish Super Hospital programme is ambitious.
Closure of HALF of all hospitals. Reorganisation of care within hospitals. Reconfig of admin.
PLUS 6 new hospitals. 10 refurbs/extensions. Cost E5Bn or so.

Conclusion:
Centralizing emergency services i dk led to greater distances for emergency contacts, especially in municipalities that lost emergency services. However, our study found no significant evidence that hospital closures increased barriers to accessing emergency care.
