Yesterday I was pleasantly surprised to discover the George Mason Memorial in Washington, DC.
Mason is one of the most important—and often overlooked—Founding Fathers. He insisted that the Bill of Rights be added to the Constitution to protect individual rights against concentrated government power.
The memorial features three books: Locke, Cicero, and Rousseau.
How did Rousseau—whose ideas later influenced Karl Marx—end up on George Mason’s memorial?
I believe the Bible should have been there instead. Our rights are from God, not the government—something the radicals want Americans to forget.
I had an interview with Epoch Times/NDT on Communism this afternoon and enjoyed the great view of the U.S. Capitol from its rooftop.
I also had an interesting conversation today with an Ethiopian immigrant Uber driver. We talked about Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity, U.S. politics, and eventually Mandani just as we approach my house.
He told me he doesn’t like Communism because the government controls everything. But Mandani isn’t a Communist because he wants to use the government to do good.
I told him that is the promise of every Communist regime makes—they all end up delivering the same thing: misery for everyone. I know because I lived through it.
The past—and the future—of Mandani’s government grocery store.
This exhibition at the Museum of Communism in Prague shows how a government-run grocery system worked: prices were fixed and affordable, but the shelves were often empty. Store clerks had the power to set aside highly sought-after goods for friends or exchange them for favors.
When toilet paper became scarce, people resorted to using the free Party newspapers as a substitute.
This is exactly what I experienced under Mao—only worse.
Maybe we should send Mandani to this museum for some reeducation.
NEW — America First Legal just put all 132 school districts in Virginia ON NOTICE.
If school officials continue to prioritize “gender identity” over biological sex and refuse to come into compliance with federal law, schools could face SIGNIFICANT legal and financial liability.
Today I visited the Museum of Communism in Prague.
While the museum in Budapest focuses largely on events in Hungary during the Communist era, Prague’s Museum is organized by themes and topics.
What struck me most was how closely its story matched my own experience growing up under Mao. The reason is simple: Communist regimes follow the same playbook.
I recognized so much of what I lived through—not only in the history of Communist China, but in ideas and trends I see emerging in contemporary America.
I’ll be sharing a series of posts from the museum. This is history we cannot afford to forget.
@VoCommunism
The brutal crushing of the Prague Spring in 1968 was, for the Czechoslovak people, their own Tiananmen Square Massacre.
But its consequences went far beyond Czechoslovakia. It set in motion a chain of events that helped shape America’s historic decision to open relations with Communist China.
It all unfolded here, in Wenceslas Square, in front of the National Museum—where I stood to record this video.
DEI = Communism.
In my book Mao’s America, I explain how political identity under Mao determined whether you and even your children received privileges and opportunity—or discrimination and punishment. It’s exactly the same in Communist Czechoslovakia.
Here is a classic Czechoslovakian political joke:
One day, President Antonín Novotný walks past a worker struggling to repair a door lock.
The president watches for a moment, scoffs, and says: "Comrade, it's taking you this long? If it were me, I would have fixed that lock in twenty minutes!"
The worker looks up and smiles: "Well, yes, Mr. President. But you see, I am a university professor. You are the locksmith." (Context: President Novotný actually trained as a locksmith)
Meritocracy is freedom. DEI is Party control!
I returned to Monticello, the home of our third president, Thomas Jefferson. I’ve visited many times before; my last visit was about 15 years ago, when I decided I could no longer tolerate their increasingly hostile, woke narrative about Jefferson.
The NGO that operates Monticello is an example of institutional capture. It has embraced and actively promotes a woke agenda. Several friends of mine have come away with similar conclusions after visiting.
That said, I still encourage people to visit this remarkable historic site. Monticello remains one of the most important and fascinating places in American history. Visitors, especially parents, should simply be aware of what they may encounter here.
🚨 NOW: Republicans are running a BRUTAL new ad against James Talarico (D) to elect Paxton, PERFECTLY exposing Talarico as the weirdo leftist he is
- God is "non-binary"
- 6 sexes
- "Non-meat campaign"
- "Reckoning with whiteness" 🤡
ELECT KEN PAXTON! 🇺
Court-packing is a completely mainstream view on the political left now. They see it as entirely justified because they are unhappy with recent decisions. They're not interested in the "judicial philosophies" behind the opinions - they just want their way. They're refreshingly honest about this.
🚨WATCH: Former Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares and Rep. Tom McClintock addressed Fairfax County Sheriff Stacey Kincaid’s argument for requiring ICE to obtain “legally impossible” judicial warrants to pick up violent illegal immigrants in her jail like Stephanie Minter’s accused killer Abdul Jalloh.
New: Congressman Tom McClintock said Fairfax County, Virginia has become ground zero when it comes to local elected officials protecting illegal immigrant criminals.
Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano and Sheriff Stacey Kincaid are set to testify in a congressional hearing Thursday.
Former AG @JasonMiyaresVA tells Congress: There's no such animal as a 'judicial warrant' from a Federal judge to surrender an illegal alien felon to ICE.
.@GovernorVA set a literal impossible standard for cooperating with ICE.
Steve Descano and Virginia Democrats are a total disgrace.
When a judge rejected a plea deal that would let a child sex predator serve less than 2 years in prison, Descano then DROPPED all charges.
Democrats were completely silent. They support this madness.
Jason Miyares calls out the sanctuary policies of Fairfax County and the victims who have been harmed and killed as a result of them while Fairfax DA Steve Descano sits next to him visibly uncomfortable and shaking his head.
🚨ARTICLE: The Shadow Cabinet of Soros🚨
This is the story of National Security Action, a secretive Soros NGO.
Ten days after Trump's inauguration, a former Pentagon official publicly floated a military coup in Foreign Policy magazine. Within a year, she was advising a new Soros-funded organization that quietly assembled 70 former Obama national security officials under one roof.
46 of them went on to staff the Biden administration -- including the Secretary of State, CIA Director, DNI, NSA, and UN Ambassador. 88.6% were Obama alumni. The primary funder: the Open Society Action Fund.
The same woman simultaneously sat on the funder's board and the organization's advisory council. She also co-founded the Transition Integrity Project and spent 14 years at New America developing doctrine on military refusal of orders.

Happy Mother’s Day!
Today I visited Franciscan Monastery of the Holy Land in America with my Catholic friend Kevin to attend a Traditional Latin Mass (TLM). I’ve heard that the TLM has been growing in popularity, especially among younger people. Part of the appeal seems to be a longing for tradition, beauty, and reverence —and maybe also because people are drawn to something that feels meaningful and worth preserving, especially now that the Vatican has tried to limit it.
I loved it. The liturgy was beautiful and powerful. It felt timeless and deeply moving — truly an experience to remember.
🚨“Chaos is also a strategy. Stay focused.”🚨
That wasn’t posted by some anonymous campus anarchist with blue hair and a Che Guevara tote bag. That was posted by @NatalieLShorter, the daughter of @SenLouiseLucas—who is one of the most powerful political figures in Virginia— after the Virginia Supreme Court struck down an unconstitutional redistricting referendum and Ghetto Granny’s offices and businesses were raided by the FBI.
And then, in one moment of honesty, she said the quiet part out loud. “Chaos is also a strategy”.
This is the modern radical playbook in plain English. Saul Alinsky wrote about it decades ago in Rules for Radicals:
✅keep institutions destabilized,
✅keep opponents exhausted,
✅keep the public emotionally inflamed,
✅and turn unrest into leverage.
Chaos is engineered and it is weaponized by the Democrats against families, businesses and neighborhoods.
You can see the pattern everywhere now.
✅Create division
✅Manufacture outrage
✅Erode public trust
✅Convince citizens that law enforcement, courts, elections, and even basic constitutional protections are illegitimate unless the “correct” people are in charge.
And while the Democrats use the Marxist playbook to control us, they keep pushing to weaken the Second Amendment — the one amendment specifically designed to ensure citizens are never fully at the mercy of ideological zealots or an overreaching state.
History is littered with governments and movements that demanded obedience and disarmament. None of those stories ended well.
What should terrify normal Virginians is how quickly powerful Democrats circle the wagons around Louise Lucas before they even gather facts. No hesitation. No caution. No principle. Just tribal protection and blind loyalty. Men like Don Scott and Jay Jones immediately move into defense formation because preserving power matters more than preserving public trust. Are they cowards or partners in crime?
And that’s the deeper sickness here—
A political machine that treats chaos as strategy, outrage as currency, and uses the weak and volatile minds of their followers as instruments to intimidate the public into submission.
We’ve seen versions of this before in history. Different flags. Different slogans. Same human impulse underneath: destabilize society enough and frightened people become easier to control.
Normal people do not want this. They want safe streets, functioning schools, affordable groceries, and leaders who act like adults instead of ideological street organizers.
Virginia does not belong to radicals. It does not belong to political machines. And it certainly does not belong to activists who openly romanticize chaos while demanding more power over everyone else’s lives.
The @TheJusticeDept and @DHSgov must enforce the law — regardless of party, title, or connections. No untouchables. No protected class of politicians.
Most importantly, voters need to WAKE UP before this culture of ENGINEERED INSTABILITY comes to our homes.
When people tell you chaos is part of the strategy, believe them.
The @FBI must watch Natalie Louise Shorter.
Good, moral Virginians must run for office. Every Virginian must vote this chaos out if power.
