@__paleologo Embrace it! 30+ yrs ago, I bicycled Seattle-Tampa. No cell/internet, I used paper maps, etc. This year, I hiked the Appalachain Trail w full digital maps, social crowdsourced water sources, and satellite 911, etc.. I have a nostalgia for the old style, but wouldn't go back.

@calvinfroedge We had the most spectacular weather for the climb, only by luck. It had rained hard all night and the forecast called for 50% thundershowers that am. We were mostly socked in until the close to the summit, then all heaven broke loose. I will never forget the glory and spendor

Hats off to @calvinfroedge for his generous reward & encouragement towards my successful completion of thru-hiking the entire Appalachian Trail. 2200 miles across 14 states in under 5 months. Only ~20% who attempt succeed. Enjoy this cloudbreak!
