I have a friend who doesn’t eat any food that sleeps overnight or dares to enter a freezer. Everything must be fresh, breakfast and dinner. No compromise.
His wife had to resign from her job because how do you keep a 9–5 and still run a restaurant twice a day inside your own house?
Fast forward one year after Tinubu assumed office, things got so tough for this my friend that I had to lend him money at some point.
Few months ago, early one morning around Transcorp Hilton junction in Maitama, I saw his wife, neatly dressed in corporate wear, standing by the roadside waiting for a commercial vehicle.
I was heading her direction, so I stopped and gave her a lift.
That was when she told me she had resumed work.
The husband could no longer shoulder everything alone. And guess what? The same man who couldn’t stand overnight food has now started eating it. Life has a way of humbling our rigid principles
.
Dear men, you cannot do it alone. That woman is not your competitor. She is your partner. When you give her breathing space to grow, to work, to dream, you’re not losing control, you’re building capacity.
Sometimes all she needs is room. Give her that room, and watch her move mountains for you.
Please you need to listen to this @DunsinOyekan Min. Dunsin Oyekan's song Worthy Of My Praise ft Lawrence Oyor 😭😭🔥🔥
