New Strauss Zelnick interview with Business Insider at Take-Two’s Manhattan HQ:
- The CEO behind GTA, a series centered around crime says he doesn’t drink, smoke, own a gun or even play video games
- He has however watched GTA 6 gameplay demonstrated to him by developers, which he described as amazing. “I see the whole thing. I’m just not the one holding the controller,” he says
- The game was delayed multiple times to avoid crunch, which he says is no longer part of how Take-Two operates today, and that morale has remained healthy at the company: “It’s sort of like when I was in college. I never pulled an all-nighter because I was good about doing my homework,” he says
- He says players have been able to make their own version of GTA for decades using mods, so they acquired one of the largest GTA modding platforms, FiveM: “How about if instead of trying to beat them, we join them?”
- Despite Take-Two’s record of hits, he doesn’t take past wins for granted. “Arrogance is the enemy of continued success,” he says

> If this is not possible, players should receive a full refund.
> The goal is to protect digital ownership and game preservation.
This proposal follows growing concerns over games becoming completely inaccessible once support ends, especially after shutdowns like The Crew.
Most gamers think that if players pay for a game, it should remain playable or be fairly compensated.
