Talked to my 30-something son and he said his generation feels like they will never own a home so why not spend the money now and spoil themselves? Guess my sacrifices, saving and investment didn’t rub off on him! I didn’t buy my first house until I was 44 and we were going through the sofa cushions to come up with the downpayment!
