@WinterSportsLaw You cannot give collective bargaining rights to some student athletes and not give them to others.
This is one of the many reasons why collective bargaining isn’t feasible for college athletics
@WinterSportsLaw Key word “Some”
You cannot consider just football and basketball players employees. This would invite more litigation. Not to mention having to pay employment costs to these sports would bankrupt athletic departments and kill many smaller sport prognosis.
@WinterSportsLaw You would have every athlete from every other sport filing litigation for equal rights, equal opportunity, and equal pay. This would tie the hands of every athletic department and state governments.
@NHLPA@NHLJets@NHLBlackhawks Tried to fight a player who was unconscious, who his teammate just cheap shotted, and who his other teammate taunted.
He defended both teammates.

@BBGreatMoments Lockout yes
Missed games No
The game is too popular and has too much momentum for any long Work stoppage. The owners need to get their heads out of their rear ends and understand that their stubbornness is the only thing that could cause this to stop
@CloseCallSports Both of these should result in the challenge being denied. You shouldn’t get the challenge. If you make a move to show up the umpire doesn’t matter how long it takes to make a call.
@CloseCallSports I get what you are saying about these challenges being timely but these challenges were still late IMHO. Lewis started complaining before he challenged and the batter started going to first base and the one that led to the ejection.
Heartbroken to hear about Aldon Smith.
I had the privilege of being his teammate at Mizzou, & there’s no question he was one of the most gifted football players I’ve ever been around. Even more than that, I’ll remember all the laughs, conversations, & the moments away from the field we all shared as teammates.
Praying for his family, friends, and everyone who loved him. #MIZ
