@CallumLyon Move to asia and be on a the beach everyday chilling, get a job as a dive master or bar worker or what ever fo 30 quid a day and live your best life with rent and bills at 300 a month π
@StuartHum@BladeoftheS I might putting it politely shit runs downhill so government shocking spending falls to the working man/women to pay and any 1% tax on landlords will also get pushed downhill to tenants, its bullshit but its the way of the world. My generation will be the last to own property
@StuartHum@BladeoftheS But this would be unrealised gains? That would force small landlords to keep remortgaging and pulling equity out to pay the tax instead of payin down the debt depending on what strategy the landlords choose? Just another kick in the chops for small landlords i would say
@StuartHum@BladeoftheS Well i apologise for calling you a leftist but backing getting ridnof landlords is a very leftist idea. Personally landlords take a lot of risk, risk not getting payed rent, risk damage to your place, and for tiny profits for your average landlord. Bad landlords must go though
@StuartHum@BladeoftheS Agreed but the effect of keeping labour prices low is making property prices high so its kinda linked. We agree on most of the stuff to be honest, i just think landlords can exist with keeping a normal housing market. Thats the only thing we differ on
@StuartHum@BladeoftheS They want to keep property prices high, atleast 1 of the reasons i guess would be to not crash the housing market prices. I think this because why else would every government keep importing 200k each year when we already have a housing shortage, incentivising HMO's?
@StuartHum@BladeoftheS The rentals and prop prices will go up and get worse for sure. I think personally it is designed to be this way because if we stopped foreign aid for 1 year we would save like 12B and u can build 10's of thousands of apartments easily. Governments dont want to
@StuartHum@BladeoftheS Unfortunatly your issue is with governments over regulating landlords while bending over backwards fkr corperate house investors like Lloyds and blackrock ect. Governments are happy to give them massive incentives just to get there investment in the UK whike shitting on you
@StuartHum@BladeoftheS But your not speakin reality, landlords are needed and id go further and say essensial. If you got rid of landlords that doesnt mean that people will automatically buy those houses... is the house market broken? YES it is. Getting rid of landlords makes it worse though ?
@StuartHum@BladeoftheS You aint no landlord ππ as i said in london you need about 150-180k to become a landlord... you say landlords aint necessary while screaming "fix the housing market" what happens to the 2k rents on flats in london if wr get rid of landlords ? Typical leftist knows nothing
@StuartHum@BladeoftheS Its not a noble status but without landlords we are fucked its that simple. As i said people can buy houses if they like... just dont complaint when you rather buy starbucks and pints instead of saving for a deposit and then blame everybody else.
