All who truly want to push back against the poorly-sited, huge solar plants being built throughout rural America should be loudest voices calling out the fake opposition and their lies.
Don’t allow ulterior-motived frauds to hijack grassroots with easily debunked fearmongering.
The Groton project referenced here, Yellow Barn Solar, is being built by CS Energy, an American company.
That doesn't fit "the cavalry's" narrative of "farmers in fight of their lives against foreign solar invasion," so Mr Fake Cowboy misleads his followers to believe otherwise.
@RPierceWriter We must pretend these specific subsidies are Karl Marx's final opus!
How else will we get enough votes to be rewarded our $5,000 "Trump Dividends" universal income?
@Drill_Baby_Drll It sure does look like he not only overlooks them on purpose, but was put in his position to divert the public's attention away from them (and others like them).
If this is the case, @Firefox, why don't you do more by default? Why don't you block most tracking content by default? Or block tracking query parameters? Or send the Global Privacy Control header?
If you really want to protect your users, you need to do more. Privacy by default is the way.
@americaunwon@caseymurph1 Situations like Casey is facing should not be happening, and there's no doubt he means well, nevertheless he is a patsy who doesn't know what he's talking about.
(eg Trump is personally invested in world’s largest operator of solar and wind projects, etc)

@alex_fasulo NextEra Energy - which supported Trump's 2025 inaugural committee and was the only power company to donate to his ballroom - is at the forefront of the huge solar projects being built for hyperscale data centers, with plans to build 41.5 GW of solar.

@caseymurph1@alex_fasulo The question remains:
Alex, why does "cavalry" divert attention away from the facts of many US companies developing multi-thousand acre solar sites (even when referencing their projects, ie Excelsior) yet seemingly shouts about "foreign entities" from every possible mountaintop?
@caseymurph1@alex_fasulo For anyone interested in facts of the matter you won't hear from "the cavalry"…
Here's an entire thread (33 posts-long) about a few of the many American solar companies, specifically some of those building the largest solar facilities across the country:https://t.co/wr68Kjz1RR
Fact is many of the developers building the largest solar sites are American companies. Why does "the cavalry" divert attention away from this fact?
This thread will provide an overview of some of these companies and their projects.

Governments keep telling us ID checks will make the internet safer. Here is what an ID check actually did for a woman in Pennsylvania.
Cash App demanded Social Security numbers to stop fraud. Hers leaked in a data breach, a scammer opened an account with it, and the police arrested her for his crime. She spent three nights in jail. Cash App now refuses to show her the account because she can’t prove it’s hers, which is exactly what she has been telling them.
Every ID check builds another vault of stolen identities waiting to happen. The more of them we’re forced through, the easier fraud gets, and the people paying for it are the ones who did everything they were told.
@brantonzhy If we actually want to push back we need strong arguments and truth.
It's the "cavalry" that has hidden agendas they won't admit, not me.
They're not push backing. They have weak arguments and go great legnths to spread easily debunked narratives that distract from real issues.
The list goes on and on…
And yet, Mr Fake Cowboy and "the cavalry" doesn't speak of any of these multi-thousand acre projects by American companies whilst seemingly going out of their way every chance they have to fearmonger about smaller sites developed by "foreign entities."
There are many reasons a broad cross-section of Americans oppose multi-thousand acre solar projects.
One needn't be opposed to renewable energy to acknowledge the threats.
Thus it's striking "the cavalry" speaks little of them yet non-stop dog whistles about "foreign entities."
The list of American companies building large solar projects goes on and on and on...
BHE Renewables:
Topaz Solar Farms (California, 4700 acres)
Solar Star (California, 3600 acres)
Ravenswood Microgrid (West Virginia, 2000 acres)
Clearway Energy:
Solar Nova (Texas, 5000 acres).
