The amount of ppl that don’t understand what a catch is in the rule book flabbergasts me. And it’s not the officials. The two plays yesterday were not difficult calls, and they got them both right.
If the Browns thought Shedeur Sanders would give them a better chance to win, he would start. And maybe that day does come. I know there are many people out there very much looking forward to seeing what he’s capable of at this level if given the chance. Myself included. But jobs and livelihoods are on the line, coaches and front offices don’t just hold players back for no reason. They need to win and they need to win fast. They’ll do whatever it takes for that to happen.
The Browns offense hasn’t scored over 17 points in 11 straight games. There have clearly been offensive struggles, regardless of who’s been playing the QB position.
This is the position they put themselves in when they drafted two QBs in the same class in the first 5 rounds. Whoever got the first chance to play was always going to have the potential distraction of the other QB and the “what if” factor. It leaves no room for error, making mistakes, growing, maturing and getting the benefit of the doubt in the court of public opinion.
The Cleveland Browns had a Rookie QB in Dillon Gabriel making his first career start and threw 2 TDs with no turnovers on foreign soil. Had a rookie running back run for 110 yards. Had a defense force 2 turnovers and get 3 sacks. And still lost. That’s a coaching issue.
When Myles Garrett first requested a trade from Cleveland, it seemed like most fans were on his side. Now, after his continued media tour, a lot of people are getting sick of it.
"The Browns don't owe Myles anything. You didn't play for free; they paid you handsomely. You know who they owe it to? Us. We're the ones who spend money on gear. We're the ones who go to games and pay the crazy concession prices and cheer for you when it's 30° below and raining.
They owe it to us to get the most out of you as possible, whether that's you performing on the field at a high level or trading you to whoever is willing to give us the best capital in return."
No one forced Myles to sign the extension offer to stay in Cleveland. That was his choice to stay here long-term, and now he wants out despite having two years remaining on the contract that he willingly agreed to.
Where do you stand in the Myles Garrett situation after multiple weeks now of appearing on every sports show possible to tell the world how awful the Browns are to play for?
#Browns record if I eat before halftime 0-6
#Browns record if I don't eat before halftime 2-0
It might be a coincidence, but I may be going hungry more often.
