@John_Schoon I use these as standard equipment in my planter and air seeder. My Unverferth seed tender has had tabs break off and stick in planter tubes before. We now inspect and break off cracked ones each season. These grates have caught seed treatment buildup and other small things.

Make sure you look at your corn fields even though it isn’t fun. Western corn rootworm populations are way up. See what damage the larvae may have done underground what the beetles are doing to your silks during pollination. Treat if silks clipped back to within 1" of ear.
