Bihar gets 9 times or Maharastra only gets 7 paisa type rants.

If you are educated, behave like one. Know the details. There are 3 main data that you should all know:

1) High Indirect tax paying states facade: The companies earn from entire India but pay indirect taxes at Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, so it shows that these states pay a lot. But in reality, the earnings also come from other states.
-For example, Vedanta earns its billions of money from mines of Chattisgarh but pays indirect taxes at Mumbai. So, Maharastra shows that they pay very high tax. But in reality, the main earning is not from Maharastra but from Chattisgarh. (See statewise gst collection map below).

2) The 9x that Bihar gets facade: (see green map below)- That 9x is for income tax only. Reason explained here in link:

3) Bihar gets 219 rs for every 100 rs GST paid facade: (see 3rd data map)-It is easy to say this but realise one thing. If Bihar pays 10 rs as GST & received only 30 rs, the % will still show that Bihar got 300% return but in reality, the amount is only 30 rs, which is very small. On the other hand, if Mumbai paid 1000 rs as GST & got only 7%, then also, it got 70 rs which is much more than Bihar. Same with direct tax too. Check the amounts, not % of money & you will realise that overall, no state gets very high or very less amount but if you see % wise, you will misunderstand.
