To: EVERY SOMALI

To the beautiful people of beautiful Somalia:

This is a decisive moment in your nation’s history. The future of #Somalia will not be determined by clan politics, foreign interference, or those who seek to divide the #Somali people for their own interests. It will be determined by #Somalis themselves — by mothers and fathers who want peace, dignity, opportunity, and a secure future for their children. Somalia can only rise when its people stand together as one nation, under one flag, with one voice.

President #HassanSheikhMohamud has spoken openly about protecting Somalia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national unity against outside interference and internal division. Recent tensions surrounding foreign involvement in Somali affairs have fueled national debate over sovereignty and unity. Regardless of political differences, every Somali should understand one truth: No country can survive if it allows #tribalism, infighting, fragmentation, and external actors to weaken the state from within!

Somalia belongs to all Somalis — from #Muqdisho to #Hargeisa, from #Kismayo to #Bosaso, from every region and every community. No tribe is greater than the NATION itself. Tribalism has already stolen far too many years, too many lives, and too much potential from the Somali people. The younger generation deserves something better: A strong, united Somalia that can defend its borders, protect its resources, and stand proudly among the nations of the world.

Foreign governments that attempt to manipulate Somali politics, bypass the federal government, or encourage division do not act in the interests of the Somali people. Somali sovereignty must never be for sale. Somalia’s future must be decided in #Mogadishu by Somalis — not in foreign capitals, not through backroom deals, and not through efforts to weaken national unity for geopolitical gain. As wel all know, reports and public statements around UAE-Somalia tensions have centered heavily on accusations of interference and bypassing federal institutions.

My beloved Somali brothers and sisters: Please think beyond today’s political arguments. Think about your children. Think about the Somalia they will inherit in twenty or thirty years. Will it be a fractured land divided by clan interests and foreign influence? Or will it be a stable, respected, sovereign nation that controls its own destiny? That choice belongs to you.

Stand for UNITY! Stand for sovereignty. Stand for #democracy. Reject tribalism. Reject division. Reject those who profit from Somali weakness. And when the time comes to vote, vote not as clans, but as one people — united behind the future of a single, unbreakable Somalia.
