Today I attended Ugaas Abdullahi Fara’Adde’s prayer and commemoration place. Ugaas Fara-Adde was a respected elder who played a significant role during the Civil War and after. He spends most of his time bringing the community together and our national peacebuilding process. May Allah grant him Janatul Firdouz. Amen.

Host of one of our monthly meetings between Somaliland traditional elders and me. We discussed the current national situation, especially the regions we represent, wich are currently in the midst of a sensitive and transitional period.

During the session we revaluate the last month's work and set new tasks fot the upcoming one. Together, we are committed to serving the people we represent & boosting our collaboration.

I was honoured to be invited to an event hosted by the @MoECC_Somalia which focused on the transformation of law into practice. My colleagues MPs from the parliamentary committee on natural resources & environment were also present. This action was truly commendable, as it marked the 1st #Somalia Environmental Law & Policy Conference.

Tonight, DR. Abdullahi Awsey & I had a fruitful discussion with the successful and well-integrated Somali community in Minessota. I am excited to share an overview of the country's ongoing transformation, including the progress of the war against Al-Shabab, peace process, political stability, economic growth, unity, and the gulf & geopolitics dynamics.

Furthermore, the Somali-American community like other Somali diasporas, contributes significantly to #Somalia's development and survival.

It's my privilege to lead a delegation from #Somalia to the fourth round of global plastics treaty negotiations in Ottawa. More than 170 conutries gather here and the aim is to establish a legally binding treaty that addresses the entire lifecycle of plastic products. Despite 🇸🇴 contribution to the plastic polution is limited but we are committed to ending it & ensuring a sustainable future for all.

Based on Somalia's unique needs & capabilities we propose these three specific provisions to manage plastic pollution effectively: increased aid for economically vulnerable countries, implementation flexibility & environmental vulnerability considerations.

Kamal Gutale is taped on as the new Preminant Secretary of the PM Office of Somalia. I have known Kamal Indirectly and indirectly for over 15 years. I have witnessed rapid intelectual growth in him. He is a great addition to the office and will bring with him prior experience at the executive level and rich and broad relationships with divers Somalis and non-Somalis. Good luck brother.

Much obliged, Dr. @JustAwHirsi, the occasion was splendid and fruitful. I extend our sincere congratulations once more & pray that God grants them ease as they carry out their responsibilities.

Moreover, I appreciate president @HassanSMohamud, PM @HamzaAbdiBarre and his government Dan-Qaran, realising the need to select these great individuals considering the current critical moment that the world's dynamics are reshaping and geopolitical winds are swindling. Attending today's prestigious banquet hosted by the Honorable @biixison in honor of our recently appointed all-star ambassadors was truly gratifying.

The event, which held historical significance and extended well beyond its scheduled duration, was attended by esteemed individuals, such as a former Deputy Prime Minister, a Senator, a former Minister of Finance, high-ranking Army Generals, a former Constitutional Commissioner, a former Member of Parliament and other distinguished guests of high profile and caliber.
