@MarkJCarney please get the nuke. The Americans are slowly bucking the separation of church and state and when the church captures the state nothing good happens. So get the nuke.
We cannot consider #AI to be morally neutral. In reality, every technical tool embodies choices and priorities through what it measures, ignores, and optimizes, and how it classifies people and situations. Ethical discernment cannot be limited to asking whether we are using a system for good or bad purposes. It must also examine how that system is designed and what vision of the human person and society is embedded in the data and models that guide it. #MagnificaHumanitas
WATCH: NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte unveils what he calls the "Trump trillion" as he credits President Trump with helping push European allies to boost defense spending.
Rutte said Europe and Canada have added roughly $1.2 trillion in defense spending since Trump first entered office, while also placing hundreds of billions of dollars in orders with U.S. defense companies.
"This is your evidence," Rutte said, pointing to the numbers as he argued the alliance is moving closer to sharing the defense burden with the United States.

I'm not running for office. But if I were, these are some of the lessons I'd take away from what happened in NY yesterday.
1. Authenticity is measurable. Voters can smell a focus group from a mile away.
2. Endorsements from the current Democratic leadership now read like warnings. The establishment wing of the party is no longer a sword. It's a question mark.
3. Conviction beats caution. The candidates who said hard things about rent, about who pays for what, about Gaza, they won. The triangulators lost.
4. Cost of living is everything. Everything else is wallpaper.
5. The middle is not a strategy. It's an empty room. Voters reached past the establishment to grab someone who actually believes something.
6. Don't fear the base. Court it. The Democrats who ran from their own voters lost. The ones who ran toward them won.
7. If you want to lead a party you have to be willing to fight inside it. Mamdani didn't ask permission. He took the field.
The lesson under the lessons: the country is tired of being managed. People want to be led.
Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY), in concession speech: โJews have given back so much to this country. As history has taught us, antisemitic tropes and stereotypes, some of which I heard personally on this campaign, will ultimately be the undoing of our democracy if we all donโt lean in and speak out โ even if itโs not politically expedient.โ
He gon get shipped out. Nobody is bigger than the system in SA. No one. TP got shipped out. Kawhi got shipped out. There is a system and either you buy in or youโre out. I love Dylan Harper but I love the SA program more.
Mfs always try to tell people how to dress. Style is about expression but those who aint got shit to express always police other peopleโs style. Go find your own style and rock it.
Two features give Trump leverage over an Israeli PM that his predecessors never had: Trump owns GOP still. Bibi has no higher court of appeals. But more. Netanyahu needs Trumpโs aggressive campaigning in upcoming elections. Netanyahu has little choice but to comply.
AIPAC's response, along with statements from Senator Lindsey Graham and others, underscores the central challenge Israel faces regarding a potential nuclear agreement with Iran: no one is going to outflank President Trump from the right on this issue.
Whatever Trump ultimately decides will define U.S. policy, and Israel cannot realistically hope for a future president in the White House who will reverse that decision. If Trump himself reaches the strategic conclusion that the Iranian regime is not going anywhere and that a negotiated arrangement is preferable to continued confrontation, the debate is effectively over. It is highly unlikely that a future president would take a significantly tougher approach.
This campaign has already exposed numerous shortcomings and potential negative consequences, including the possibility of strengthening the Iranian regime and further entrenching Iran's regional influence through proxies such as Hezbollah in Lebanon. Yet these concerns may be overshadowed by a larger strategic reality: for current and future Israeli governments, the likelihood of undertaking a similar military effort against Iran without strong American backing becomes dramatically lower.
For Israel, which depends on the United States across a wide range of military, diplomatic, and economic domains, this would represent a major strategic setback.
While Israeli leaders often emphasize their ability to act independently against Iran, the reality is that containing or significantly degrading Iran's capabilities without meaningful American support is, for all practical purposes, close to impossible.
Another consequence of this failed campaign...
