@RadishHarmers@hthieblot Jesus- I remember this. I also remember wondering how much work that one guy running “rpgamer dot com” made, by basically acting as a one-man card catalogue.
@HarryStebbings@nico_laqua How dumb a moron do you have to be for this kind of advertising to appeal to you, to send in a job application to prove your hardcore servitude? It's amazing that the world is apparently full of suckers on who this works.
The death of the [accessible] university degree.
Translation: “We don’t like that the non-rich can displace the rich.” (Rich kids will absolutely still attend universities. 🤣)
Double translation: “Money and legacy are the only things we have, so they *have to* mean something.”
@mathillustrated “The death of the [accessible] university degree” — there, fixed it.
I’d bet my retirement that rich people will still be sending their kids to expensive universities.
The funniest thing about #arxivgate is that it’s going to drive everyone to use AIs to ensure their papers are in compliance because AIs are literally the only entity with the patience to read an entire paper.
@mathillustrated Also hilarious to me that people expect some college course to singularly radicalize someone that’s already opting-in to a career they know to be exceptionally low pay and high stress.
