Phoned 2 different secretaries and sat on hold for over 2 hours to find out that the boot I was given for my broke foot was the wrong one.
Hope that 2 weeks walking on it and working didn’t do any harm. Wouldn’t know myself as no actual follow up or check has been arranged.
Broke my foot in 3 places 2 weeks ago and my “virtual” fracture clinic has consisted of an e-letter I’m only aware of because I checked the NHS app.
I’m a doctor that’s worked in orthopaedics and I have questions about recovery etc, this is shockingly bad care.

Most resident doctors who are due to finish foundation training don’t have a job to go next month, a survey shows.
The results of the survey, run by the BMA, found that 52% of doctors leaving foundation training had no employment lined up

@theveindoc@NHSCTrust I’m really sorry if I’ve not been clear enough here.
But I think you just don’t know enough about NI.
Causeway ED has nothing to do with the only children’s hospital in Belfast. These are separate things.
Again more than happy to have an actual call and explain things.
@zola_mzimba@theveindoc@simondoyle87 Causeway has nothing to do with paediatrics and the Isle of Man has nothing to do with NI.
Also it’s universally 16 in NI.
None of which is relevant to SHO capability but do go on.
@theveindoc@simondoyle87 Causeway Hospital.
The only Children’s Hospital in Northern Ireland only started having a Reg overnight a few years ago due to pressures.
You are out of touch.
@theveindoc@simondoyle87 There’s hospitals that don’t even have more senior doctors than an SHO overnight in ED, can you not just accept you’re out of touch?
Keir Starmer promised one of his first acts would be to introduce the Hillsborough Law.
He hasn't – so I have.
Tomorrow the Government could block this Bill, or get behind it.

A pay rise of 28.9%.
The highest pay rise in the entire public sector this year.
A genuine commitment to work together on things like rotations, placements, progression.
These are NOT the conditions for strike action.
I urge the BMA to work with me.
@BDChadwick@medicalmodelbri I think people’s issue is that, I who did GEM at Soton, wouldn’t be eligible for this.
Personally don’t really think it’s a huge deal though honestly.
.One year ago today, #MyJulieRIP❤️ my 24/7 companion died of #OvarianCancer,1 year after a late diagnosis
On that very day my campaigning to raise awareness of Ovarian Cancer’s “sneaky” symptoms & so earlier diagnosis & improved outcomes
started with this tweet which went viral

GP additional funding 2025/6
England £969m
Scotland £290m
Wales £52m
NI £1m
All have the same pressures, same plans and same priorities.
Never ever be shocked or surprised that you can’t access simple, basic health care in NI or why our NHS is collapsing
In hospital with my daughter this week, it’s the weekend so of course the canteen that does actual meals is closed. Decided to grab a chicken fillet wrap in the hospital shop..€9.20 🫠 good thing the carers support grant was paid this week so I can afford to feed myself
"There are no Amish with autism"
There are
"Vaccines aren't tested against placebo"
They are
"MMR has never been studied as a possible cause of autism"
It has. It's not the cause.
I apparently need to say this stuff over and over and over and over again.
And again.
