Devastatingly good writing ⬇️: "The tortilla smells of corn warmed by sunshine. Your eyes gauge the best starting point to dive in; it’s at the crease, where you’ll find a density of tastes and textures. A two-toned crackle-crunch rings in your jaw." 😊https://t.co/yMnSsIfKhc
I've loved my time working with our powerhouse @latimes entertainment & arts team. But this is the right moment for me to return to the world of food, which is in the midst of so much change. Excited to get started!

@allensalkin @evankleiman Definitely a place you can linger, I've never felt rushed out. Agree that it's unlikely that this incarnation of the place will operate late-late.
CRITIC'S CHOICE: Here is The Times' first big restaurant review of the year, a beauty by @BillAddison, arguing Horses is a new LA institution — got to eat there last month, it is unusually sophisticated *without pretense, an "exquisite creature" 🍽️🍷: https://t.co/d5Is1YxUkG
The 101 publishes ✨tonight ✨ and I'll be at the live event in a few hours with @latimesfood colleagues to celebrate! Valiantly, the author of the whole thing @BillAddison, protecting his anonymity, will not be there! 🥺
Ahh, this is a nice bit of news to receive as I struggle with words for @latimesfood's big annual project on a Saturday night. Thanks, @IACPculinary :)
We're hiring an audience editor for @latimesfood
Come work with us to build community and translate reviews, features and videos to IG, TikTok etc.
Oh and we have a test kitchen in El Segundo so, I mean, hello! That will be fun to use!

@cpburt Marhaba, Chris — Sunnin in Westwood might be the way to go, good balance between restaurant-style dishes and some homier dishes. I like the koussa and the mulukhiyah there. Sahtein!
@dreid63 Yes! Still use as well. Made Shere's peach ice cream recipe last night — no milk, all cream, because all the peach juice balances out the cream's richness. Genius.
@heyadamroberts Thanks, Adam! This piece was assigned to me and, nuanced feelings about the place aside, was a little surprised by what writing it drudged up from my own memories.
If you read any food essay this week, read @BillAddison’s appraisal of Chez Panisse. It’s personal, thoughtful, and wise about the restaurant’s place in history. https://t.co/TOnrnruOwk
Editing @streetgourmetla has been one of the great honors of the last, oh, DECADE that we've been collaborating. These four food/travel stories are nothing short of bonkers beautiful. A special thanks to @mattatouille whose vision guided the whole shebang!
