@GMA@GMA misleading and poor reporting. Obviously you are being paid by pharma to scare Americans. The new drug (not a vaccine) @BeyfortusHCP is an amazing drug but RSV has had a champion for 25 years that is safe for all but you never mention it. Synagis!! Do better @GMA@AAPPres

@AAPPres@jaketapper Dr Chung, why the silence? If putting children is truly first for you and @AmerAcadPeds why have you put some many infants at risk since 2014? In its new guidance, the AAP said, โEquity in access to nirsevimab is of the highest priority to the AAP.โ
Really ????? #icallBS
@AmerAcadPeds@AAPPres Dr Chung. Quick question. There has been a product that protects infants up to 35 weeks, for 25 years per its FDA label, palivizamab. The AAP does not currently recommend 29-35 week Gestational age infants to receive this product and has not since 2014.
@AAPPres Reply please?
@AAPPres@jaketapper Why is the new drug more important to protect these infants when a safe and efficacious product has been available since 1998? Why hasnโt the AAP #putkidsfirst since 2014 when you no longer recommended 29-35 week babies? #why
@AAPPres insurance companies use @ameriacadpeds recommendations to deny the current monoclonal antibody for the children most in need.We should all #putkidsfirst I challenge you to revisit the current recommendations on the product available now to protect these high risk infants
