29 June 1826: “The most effectual means of securing the continuance of our civil and religious liberties, is always to remember with reverence & gratitude the [divine] source from which they flow.” #JohnJay, reflecting on the 50th anniversary of American Independence
@roddreher I love your post "The Mysteries Of Tallapoosa." But you really can say you've been to Alabama until you can say you've been to my hometown, Eastaboga!! You were close in Talladega!! Just on I-20 toward Atlanta.
26 May 1789: our #POTUS “has commenced his administration in rational and exalted sentiments of piety; and..., in his private conduct, adorns the doctrines of the gospel of Christ; and…devoutly acknowledges the government of divine Providence.” Presbyterians to #GeorgeWashington
So much foolish discussion on the founding of our nation. Let me recommend that you read some of the works of Dr. Daniel Dreisbach @d3bach and Dr. @ThomasSKidd Excellent scholarship from both!!
Pastor friends, I invite you to come and share in a day of fellowship and training with other pastors from South Central Kentucky and beyond. It's going to be an edifying day with a godly scholar and pastor.
@Mike_J_Flaherty @CTmagazine Michael, there is no one who believes in the sovereignty of God more than I do . . . but God has called us to oppose evil and the attack on marriage, children, the womb, etc. by the Democrats is evil. DeSantis was my first choice too, but it's not even close between T & H.
@Mike_J_Flaherty @CTmagazine I don’t think you will have a chance for DeSantis in ‘28 if Kamala is elected this year. A non-vote is a vote for Marxist Kamala. If she’s elected, and Ms of illegal migrants in our country become citizens (and that’s her plan!) there will never be another Republican elected.
Compare how the New York Times covered Hurricane Katrina (red) vs. Hurricane Helene (blue).
Katrina: 12 consecutive days of full-page coverage on A1. All-caps banner headlines. Countless articles about the failures of the Bush administration.
Helene: Seven days of minor coverage on A1 (none at all on day two). Mostly just photo captions referencing articles on page A12 or A19. Zero mentions of any potential failures on the part of the Biden-Harris administration.
Still think there's no media bias?
