@delmonaco_joe@leetm94@iamAtheistGirl Perhaps. But the only question that matters is whether his views and observations on religion and beliefs are true.
I believe they are. I became an Atheist in part because of the writings and teachings of Hitchens.
@AgainstAtheismX Are the Braves going to win the World Series; will the Knicks actually win a championship; where can I go to get a massage with a happy ending; is my Only Fans account currently in good standing; will the price of Pappy Van Winkle ever come down; will the Ravens win?
@Clearpath__ We don't have churches; we don't pray; we don't have pastors to lead us in Sunday service; we don't do missionary work like evangelical Christians or Mormons; we don't tithe; and finally, we don't knock on doors asking random strangers if they have found Jesus.
@tmddyan2@KristanHawkins Really? Do you take the Bible literally? Because from the words in that verse God is punishing Samaria, by dashing their infants to pieces, by the sword, and women who are pregnant get ripped up. It sounds clear to me.
@FFTMime@maklelan No, I don't. But I am astounded that people worship and serve such a morally repugnant entity.
And it wouldn't matter to me except believers trying to pass legislation based on those beliefs. That's why it matters to me.
@FFTMime@maklelan And you think that justifies killing David and Bathsheba's baby? I do not, under any circumstances, believe it is appropriate to murder the innocent for the crimes that others cammitted. I guess that means I am more moral than God.
@FFTMime@maklelan I would also point out that the first born of all the Egyptians had absolutely nothing to do with Pharoah's decisions in not freeing the Jews. They were all innocent. But were punished for the misconduct of Pharoah.
@FFTMime@maklelan I would also point out that God murdered 70,000 innocent people simply because David took a census. That is God murdering 70,000 innocent people for a sin that David committed and they had no part in.
