Our journey as The Temptations began with humble beginnings and we’re still at it over six decades later. Thank you for an amazing interview @RTDNews!

I was laid off last week from the RTD after 14 years as a reporter and editor there. After taking some time to rest and reflect, I'm ready to get back to work! Please let me know if you're hiring.
It’s hard to do journalism when you’re in a state of shock, and that’s where we are - trying to understand why our best editor - the person holding our newsroom together - was laid off yesterday.
John Reid Blackwell, a talented journalist and the ONLY remaining business journalist at the RTD, has announced his intention to resign in protest of the layoffs of some of our best journalists.
This is as grim a time as I can remember. It's hard not to feel like there is an army of bad people out there, getting away with awful things. But bad people want good people to feel hopeless. They know people resigned to defeat don't fight back. Don't give them your hope.
To be clear, no one new is walking through that door. No doubt the RTD’s “leadership” expects my beat to be picked up by a staff that’s already drowning as a result of Lee Enterprises’ divestment. It’s sad.
Our union and newsroom is saddened and shocked to learn that Lee Enterprises and Richmond Times-Dispatch management have laid off Mark Robinson, our housing reporter and an RNPA board member, along with two other positions in our bargaining unit.
