It's now three days without power at Binga centre. Prolonged power outage has led to a water crisis at Binga centre since ZINWA pumping system is dependent on ZESA power.
During the meeting, the Local board only accounted for ZWL4,638,022,785.77 in form of capital projects and ZWL18,121,199,364.23 was not accounted for? Does this mean that it will all go to administration cost? What's the Administration-Service provision ratio when budgeting?
On 27 Oct 2023, Binga Local Board held its 2024 budget consultation meeting with Kaani ward residents. The officers conducting failed to respond to several questions and observations made by residents because none of them had an appreciation in financial issues.
The only Treasurer accounting for both Local Board and RDC absconded to come and explain the technical financial issues. The income for 2024 is ZWL22,759,222,150 and expenditure is ZWL 22,665,613,400.00. The council will realise a surplus of ZWL93,608,750. Quite ridiculous.
Binga RA held a meeting today, 24 Sept 2022, to discuss pressing issues affecting the residents of Binga. Issues discussed included: 1. Abusive rank touts. 2. Competing buses- CAG, ZUPCO and Stallion- putting lives of travellers at risk. @zupcobus.
