@MikeyO_Brien2 You don't have to hurt yourself! If it hurts your knees, ease into it, or if you have to pray sitting in a chair because you are in too much pain, that is ok, too.

@MikeyO_Brien2 In terms if sitting this way, first practice just sitting on your feet as in the pic on the left. Once you are comfortable with that u can start to practice with your foot on the right. Over time it becomes very comfortable, seriously. Do this on carpet, not a hard floor.

@MikeyO_Brien2 Just look for scholars who give advice based on authentic sources, not the ppl who go to Google to find advice based on what they want to hear. Bukhari and Muslim are two sources for hadith which can always be trusted. Find a scholar who advocates following these two sources.
