Anybody who’s at 4S—come join our workshop today at 12:30 in Room 328! We’re sharing about decolonjal science with @biojamcamp and highlighting one hands-on activity. Come make a clear root ecosystem with a local endangered tree, the Wiliwili! 🌱 @CorinneTakara
First day bonding activities with #biojamcamp teens at Rancho Cielo! The teens along with Stanford students and Migrant Ed instructors toured milpa gardens and painted alebrijes.

Honored to have accepted first place poster prize at @ComSciCon on behalf of @biojamcamp. Amazing to see how people resonated with our mission of reimagining science communication towards social and environmental justice.
This is a thread about the folks that make it happen! 🧵
On day 12 of #biojamcamp, teens taught a Kratky hydroponics workshop for #migrant elementary and middle school students. Kids got to take home their own hydroponics set-up with a live plant! 🌱

#biojamcamp teens taught a demo workshop about #aquaponics with take-away #infographics and kits for @Stanford students, faculty, and staff that teens were teaching. ✨Trying to reverse the flow of power in the production & dissemination of scientific knowledge! 🧪🌱✊🏾
Appreciated the lab tours by @DanixParejaM and @LOB_SU to see the incredible frogs and toads 🐸🪰! The teens were so excited to hold a toad and learn about your amazing research during day 10 of #biojamcamp
Thank you @DanixParejaM and @LOB_SU for hosting our teens and showing us your INCREDIBLE frogs 🐸! It was amazing for the teens to see science in action (and sometimes hopping out of our hands!).
In Day 8 of #BioJamCamp, teens learned about Mesoamerican chinampas (a type of #aquaponics) and #hydroponics. Led by @l3fty112 and Melissa Ortiz, teens made their own tabletop versions to share and teach! Curriculum developed by @Xinampa_Bio. 🌱🌊🐌

Today at the @LOB_SU we had students from the @biojamcamp visiting our frog’s rooms! I love sharing my passion for frogs and research with students! They were curious and loved the frogs and toads 💚🐸 We then attended their workshop on hydroponic plants 🌱#outreach#steam
