@abraxalex@TheEconomist We’ve learned a lot about each other. Europeans have learned that Americans are very wealthy and live comfortably, and Americans have learned that Europeans can take 6 weeks off and go tour another country and watch soccer, which is also cool.
@Stiff_FC I really don’t understand this. Almost nobody here is even aware of the situation and still everyone is mad.
The internet isn’t real life dude.
@jj_babatunde@username1895678@worldstadium_p Go on and tell the world why the stadiums in South Africa with inconsistent electricity are better than Mercedes Benz stadium.
Expand on the “more advanced” part.
One of the funniest things about the World Cup/Olympics/whatever is how Australia truly believes they have like a massive bitter sports rivalry with the United States and Americans have zero awareness of this
@LoEl81@amooresiue13@Cangelosifan Wonder if it has anything to do with the entire world shouting at us on the internet since it was invented that our country sucks?
@LoEl81 The thing is, soccer is not a way to humble Americans. We’re happy if they win (when we hear what happened) and don’t give a fuck when they lose.
Actually makes outperforming so many of the third world countries who live and breathe it that much better
@Ox0000dEaD@AmarPape82@crypt0wu No, I think they’ll print money and inflate the debt away, the same as always. People will be surprised that things cost more, and blame “corporate greed”.
@AmarPape82@crypt0wu I agree with you on something at least. I’m tired of my tax dollars going to bomb things, or project military security for the helpless Europeans.
I’m in favor of bringing the military within our own borders only. Europe should take care of Europe.
