For all the talk about project and stability, decisions like this make it difficult for fans to understand the direction of the club under the new owners.
Sometimes it feels like the disconnect with the supporters keeps growing, not shrinking.
@ChelseaFC
.@ChelseaFC selling Cucurella to @realmadrid still feels hard to process. A player who, at his best, showed real commitment and fight for the badge, gone in a move that raises more questions than answers.
#MEXRSA South Africa thoroughly beaten. Maybe it's time they head home and sort out their xenophobia problem. Two red cards say it all—completely ill-disciplined performance.

I usually support African teams, but not this time. The continued xenophobic attacks on fellow Africans in South Africa are hard to ignore, especially considering the support the continent gave during the anti-apartheid struggle.
Today, I’m backing Mexico. 🇲🇽

Wike just called out Abuja journalists as beneficiaries of land allocations.
Watch newsrooms suddenly turn into audit firms… “Please, who owns Plot 17?” 👀

I hope the chieftains of the African Democratic Congress will refrain from attacking Peter Obi, Rabiu Kwankwaso and the Nigeria Democratic Congress.
The opposition cannot afford to keep fighting itself.
@ADCNig@PeterObi@KwankwasoRM
Now, it’s frustrating to see so-called key players like Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernández, and Moisés Caicedo as weak links. There’s a sense that too many of these young players don’t fully grasp the responsibility and expectations that come with wearing the Chelsea badge.
@ChelseaFC
Gone are the days when @ChelseaFC had strong ownership and real leaders in the dressing room. In the past, standards were enforced—some players wouldn’t even make it through the door playing like this.

If Nigeria is to sustain a vibrant democratic culture ahead of the 2027 elections, attention must shift from criticising political movement to addressing the structural conditions that make such movement inevitable. Without such reforms, the cycle will persist and the space for genuine political competition will continue to shrink.

There’s a real chance the Supreme Court of Nigeria sends the African Democratic Congress case back to the High Court, while the @OfficialPDPNig dispute may tilt toward Makinde’s camp, further fragmenting the opposition.

Behdad and his lot can keep backing Rosenior — it just shows how low the standards have dropped. @ChelseaFC are in freefall, and he’s nowhere near the level needed for a club of this size. Being a “good guy” doesn’t cut it at the top. (1/2)

Byline carried a printer’s devil — “Abiodun Idris” instead of Abiodun Alade — a reminder that precision is non negotiable in communication

At 69, @AlikoDangote has taken a different route—building factories in an economy wired for imports.
Trade is easier. Production is harder.
The bigger question is not about him. It’s about Africa.
Do we want to produce or just consume?

@DangoteGroup
@ChelseaFC There is even a case for playing both João Pedro and Liam Delap together if the team is set up properly.
But then again, maybe we wait until he drags us back to the @Conf_League@ChelseaFC#eveche
Liam Rosenior is fast becoming a case study in why very few English coaches get to manage top clubs. At this rate, he risks losing the dressing room. For @ChelseaFC, conceding six goals in two games is simply unacceptable. It is embarrassing.
@ChelseaFC In possession, either Malo Gusto or Marc Cucurella can invert into midfield. That allows Enzo to dictate play from the base. Right now, Caicedo, Lavia and Reece James offer defensive stability, but their build up play is too predictable and slows the attack. @ChelseaFC
I thought with @AVFCOfficial & @ManUtd playing each other this weekend, @ChelseaFC would move up to 4th or at worst be just a point off 3rd. Sadly, we might end the week sitting in 6th.
All that possession means nothing without real threat.
@NUFC were comfortable winners.
