@katrinakalamat1 On the variety of teams, we reflect often and seek to be a stronger team for our students. We look at what we are doing right and work to trouble shoot our shortcomings. Each team member contributes in her own way. Some more than others, but that is fluid.

@katrinakalamat1 A5: I typically wonder from team to team since I cover multiple grades. It is easiest when I can be there, but not always possible. I would say ask questions, both in your PLC and w/o. Offer to share and consider each other’s ideas. Be open and I afraid to ask for help.

@katrinakalamat1 Collectively, we are strong advocates for our students. We will speak up honestly about how initiatives affect them.

@katrinakalamat1 A3: my students learn according to their objectives w/me and w/in standards in gened. I appreciate working with colleagues that collab. adapt assignments and personalize learning in anyway to help my students achieve personal success.

@katrinakalamat1 A4: I love going into classrooms to see the creative process, particularly when students are given a choice in a subject, format or when they ask if they can use their own ideas, which is typically “yes.” You can see their excitement!

@katrinakalamat1 @dcgoebb91 I agree. It is okay sometimes to veer off the lessons a bit to allow students To explore their interest. You may help keep the “spark” of interest burning and encourage exploration both in and outside of school.

@katrinakalamat1 A3 I am very much my own critic. I often look at what I did, how I feel the students did, and work to adjust for the next time. I think it is important to have the students reflect and provide feedback too. Hopefully, they feel comfortable to share their thoughts.

@katrinakalamat1 This is one that I struggle with given my position, but perhaps I need to figure out how to facilitate learning through creation more. I do facilitate in the general education classroom at times, but I would love to see more.

@katrinakalamat1 A1 I work to build relationships by communicating the positives as much as possible. I ask questions (because I don’t know everything) and work to get to know my students through talking with them, parents and former teachers.

@katrinakalamat1 Since I work with multiple grade levels, I am in the halls and classrooms often. I always make sure to smile, small talk, or offer a hand. I believe we (faculty and staff) are there for all kids.
