@AntonioGracias Regarding overuse of the date 1st of January as north date: 1st of January is the most used birth date in Mauritania. I worked there 6 years. The government personnel that register will often use that as a default date when registering. One of my friends has that date, but is born another time of the year. This means they might show their passport and that date would still score higher for illegal aliens.

The Gospel of Luke (Luke 3:23-38) presents another genealogy than Matthew. The Luke one many scholars believe represents Mary's line, even though it's also linked to Joseph.
