@Biscuits_9 Absolutely. He was the man in demand last night but he signed as much and took as many pictures as he could.
Just really privileged that Josh got a bit of special treatment from him.
@JPEGMacDonald@jaredwright17 His is true although the emergence of TJ and Dobie (realise it doesn't apply in this case) does seem set up for a 6-2, given we struggle in the power game up front and out backs generally up to scratch in terms of threat
@rugby_ap Agree balance is wrong. Not sure they are all brilliant in their own right.... Today I wasn't sure of the specific jobs each of them were meant to be doing, but if you have 3 open sides might have to pick your horse
And lack of Chessum's usual gnarliness today
@ScotRugbyBlog It has to be embracing the younger players on the whole.
Dobie is wonderful, but maybe hasn't had the opportunities he has had for Glasgow. Straight swap for Darcy.
GG has been a wonderful servant. But time for Brown / Craig etc.
Fagerson over Bradbury for now
@ScotRugbyBlog There was a bit of dog today. Sione and Ritchie chatting away at every break, winding them up. But most importantly also backing up the chat!
@JLyall93 All the talk of the air battle beforehand...
Turns out England's backs didn't actually have a plan B. They don't have much guild and craft.
Steyn in particular defused them, then there was little imagination. I saw that as a big fan of Ford at 10. But little attacking identity
@talkMacca The game management last week was awful. Even late on today it was poor (take the 3 to go 20 ahead!)
The weather last week was the same for both teams, but Italy played it much more smartly. Build a lead and defended. We declined easy points and then the heavens opened
@jaredwright17 I broadly agree.
It wasn't the worst head-on-head we have seen, of course not. But can't referee a smaller guy differently from bigger guys
And I think most fans could pick out cards against their team where a massive guy couldn't get out the way but crucially also didn't dip
@rugby_ap Been making this very point at half time.
However... England may discover that not having back cover on the bench is also an issue!
Let's see how hybrid the hybrid players are
@Tom_Courtney_7@Scotlandteam It's bonkers. He's the coach and we can debate players starting and benched and dropped etc, but the issue here is the actual composition of the bench doesn't make sense.
@ek_rugby Benefit of him spending lots of time at full-back as well?
I'm a scrum-half but played a bit of full-back as well, always got bored out on the wing compared to 9 and 15! Need to go find the ball ๐
