@TimesSport You have a Six Nations supplement today and can find space for a Georgian referee’s story but nothing for the amazing U20’s draw between England and Ireland yesterday, leaving their competition finely balanced. A strange editorial decision! Thoughts?
@ealingtfrugby That was so good and a pleasure/privilege to be there. Lots of “if only” but the defeat was conjured from our wonderful aggression and ambition from which - two intercepts! No shame! Well done Team. #proud
@TrailfindersW A proud and confident
review of a milestone victory for Trailfinders Women, but above all excited for growth into future challenges. Congrats to all.
@ealingtfrugby As one of the travelling support i certainly turned up today anticipating a comfortable victory. I fear the team did too! The lineout needs attention, winter ball handling and midfield discipline too. What a shame! On the other hand - a stunning Scottish finale. Congrats Exiles!
Yes @MattRudd in S Times on queuing in pubs and agree the last bastion is in danger. But now, another column. Tell us, and Americans, how to queue ‘flat’ at the bar, eg: eye contact with staff, Amex Platinum in probing fist, firm sideways/forward shuffle. Instruct us please.
@TAMinUK Seen your piece in ST Culture. Does the name Bazire mean anything to you?
I was (earlier) where you were and the next place too! A fascinating history!!
@Julia14235@RugbyInsideLine Don’t give up! @ealingtfrugby is just the other side of the hill. The rugby’s as good in the @Champrugby The new women’s side is in the top league and there’s brilliant amateurs and age grade rugby. Come and join in.🏉💪🏆
@Deanosborn @gnasheruk I have no clever answers other than putative matches against Prem ‘A’ sides. Also the grim provision for injury. I can barely recall eg. Rayn Smid on the charge.
@gnasheruk @ealingtfrugby@Barbarian_FC@SwanseaRFC Ditto? I’ve emailed Swansea RFC, asked our very own Sue Chandler and trawled the internet. No info so far.
Congratulations to @BENMACINTYRE1 for his considered praise today in @thetimes for film #Zulu. One error in his piece I think. He says the rifles used were bolt action (magazine fed) Lee Enfields. Actually they were single bullet, breech loaded Martini Henrys. Brilliant tho’.
RIP Sir Bernard Ingham. He was the first guest speaker in 1995 at the first #ALMR Xmas Lunch - continued annually and brilliantly by @UKHofficial . I tried to brief him about his audience. He waved me aside. “Oh they’ll just want to hear about Maggie” he insisted. It went v well.
